  1. I suspect a misunderstanding. I bet the regulation reads "It is illegal to introduce carp into any body of water".
  2. All carp should be killed. Lots of people will eat them if you won't. Kill the carp and give it to someone.

  7. Hmm.. Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb test Baitcasting gear: Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft #12 (.013" diameter, 19.5 lb test) 8-)

  9. #1 & 2 in either order, fish finders (sonar) and trolling motors. Improved equipment is more about comfort or "The Fun Factor", not catching. However, the GYCB Senko stands out. This single bait has improved fishing for the average guy by at least 200%. A common complaint about "below average" tournament competitors is their ability to win or place highly when "all they know how to fish is a Senko!" 8-)
  10. Spinning: G. Loomis GLX PR844S Baitcasting: G. Loomis GLX MBR844C 8-)
  11. Pitiful...Absolutely pitiful... >
  12. There is no advantage, just personal preference. Some find the LPs more comfortable, but some of that is the size of the reel and fishing technique. I fish both. 8-)
  13. Well, I guess the Shimano Posse is just tired of responding to "The Best" threads. Past polls are not statistically sound, generally less than 100 responses vs a potential universe of 19,000. Still, Shimano is generally favored by 59-69% in these polls. Perhaps you find that meaningless, but it's still interesting I think. The Symetre is a fine real, period. If you can find a way to step up[ to the Stradic 2500FI, that would be better. This reel was awarded ICAST "Best In Class". -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Sheriff
  14. This wasn't an "accident", it was intentional. While Junior is "racing" for last place, his immaturity put a number of contenders out of the race. Having a "bad day" is not an excuse. From Fox Sports: Busch was blunt in his assessment of what happened: "Some guys having some bad days and not doing their best out there, they made their bad day our bad day and we had a problem," Busch said. "I was just playing with my teammate [Denny Hamlin] up there and having a great time. It was just unfortunate that two guys got together that were a lap down and were fighting over nothing." No matter who was at fault, Busch was extremely bitter to be standing outside the infield care center before the race ended. "It looked [like a] pretty big [mistake] to me," Busch said. "It cost the winning car the chance to win the race." Of the other cars involved, Kurt Busch was solidly in the top 10 all day and was most fortunate, as he ended up 10th. Hamlin and Carl Edwards had been inside the top seven until that point, and Edwards ended up 18th while Hamlin was 26th. Jamie McMurray was a fixture in the top eight and seriously damaged in the crash. He finished 37th. >
  15. Yes, that was silly, too and everthing I stated there could be repeated here. Exchange the reel, Shimano's customer service is second to none. Additionally, the one year warranty should give comfort to any skeptic. Strong, smooth, silent and reliant is the Shimano pledge. 8-)
  16. If you are looking for cranking rods, the St. Croix Avid AVC70MM loads up very well and will give you great distance with light and medium weight lures. For heavy lures and especially deep runners, the Lamiglas SR705R is THE BOMB! If it's single hooks your asking about, soft plastics and jigs, a Medium Heavy Power/ Fast Action rod is what you need. Most 7' rods with this rating are going to be comparable in terms of casting distance. The Avid AVC70MHF might be the ticket or for a little more money, G.Loomis IMX MBR844C. Regarding line, I fish Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12 on baitcasters. 8-)
  17. WOW! That's a beauty! ;D ;D ;D
  18. I think I'm done anyhow, but if Junior doesn't get some kind of disciplinary suspension, I'm out for sure. This clown is a "Clear and Present Danger" to every driver on the track. His ego makes him a threat, his lack of driving skill makes him an accident waiting to happen. >
  19. Definitely not Hybrid #12. I recommend Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb test). The Symetre is the reel I would suggest. The AVS66MF or 70MF will make a good match. 8-)
  20. 6.2 works just fine, but if you are buying a technique specific reel, get 7+. 8-)
  21. Junior just got busted for a lap...I'm not his biggest fan. 8-)
  22. Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb test) Baitcasting gear: Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft #12 (.013" diameter, 19.5 lb test) 8-)
  23. He already has black... GMAN jigs are outstanding, give them a try. http://www.custombassfishinglures.com/ 8-)
  24. I use Gamakatsu and XPoint single hooks, but picked up some Owners for the first time yesterday. Sportsman's Warehouse has selected sizes 1/2 off, 28 5/0 EWG Offset Worm Hooks for $10. My standard size is 4/0 so this will be a bit of an experiment. Otherwise, I am very impressed with VMC treble hooks and Mustad on some of my jigs. I have never had an issue with these hooks or those listed in the first paragraph. 8-)
