Dead sticking a fluke?
My approach is "modified deadsticking": I fish the Slug-Go (fluke) as a feeding minnow with very little forward movement. When I do move it forward, I then leave it in one spot again and twitch the bait repeatedly to immitate baitfish concentrating on a very small area. 8-)

Bait ideas for dock skipping?
I guess I can't tell whether you are kidding or not... The Fat Ika ranks either #1 or #2 as the biggest bass producer I have ever fished, both for size and numbers. 8-)

Spinning vs. Baitcasting
I fish both spinning and baitcasting gear. I like them equally, but have a strong preference for one over the other for certain techniques: Spinning tackle: finesse fishing Baitcasting gear: power fishing I also prefer a baitcaster for all fast moving presentations. 8-)

Lake Erie Largemouth
Wow! This thread really surprised me, I thought everyone that fished Lake Erie targeted smallmouth. It never occurred to me that people caught green fish, too. Nice pics! 8-)

BBQ Sauce
I have been competing in the World Championship BBQ Contest, Memphis in May, since 1997. My best two finishes in "Sauce" were 1st one year (2004) and third in 2006. That said, my favorite sauce is Gates BBQ Sauce out of Kansas City: http://www.gatesbbq.com/ 8-)

No, but it's all about fun. If you aren't having any, do something different. Maybe next April you will attend the BassResource 4th Annual Roadtrip at Kentucky Lake. Hope to meet you there. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior 8-) 8-)

SUGGESTIONS FOR BIG BASS IN FARM POND
Jigs and soft plastics have always been the best producers of big bass, although that is being challenged these days with the swimbait craze. I'm having some luck with big worms and 1/2 oz jigs fished slow and deep right now. 8-)

Hunter education poll
Hunting fatalities are very rare. You have a much greater chance of being struck by lightening than being shot by another hunter. When wildlife officers investigate hunting accidents, it is typical to find a violation of one or more of the cardinal safety rules. Comparisons to other sports and outdoors-related injuries through data compiled by the National Safety Council shows hunting is one of the safest recreational pursuits enjoyed in the United States." 8-)

Hunter education poll
Well, this comment is a little off topic, but I don't hunt by myself and would discourage anyone, at any age, from being out on their own. Having a partner(s) increases your overall saftey about 1000%. 8-)

Do senkos work for smaller fish?
The 5" Senko is probably the #1 bait/lure for catching the greatest number of bass. With the 6" Senko it has been my experience that I catch fewer bass, but the average size is bigger. However, you will catch both small and large bass with either size. 8-)

Best baitcaster for under $100.00?
I highly recommend scrounging up another $19.95 and getting a Citica E. The_Natural knows a thing or two about equipment, even though he uses the wrong line! :
