  1. I have an Ocean Kayak (2 man) which is similar to this. If you're interested, it's for sale: http://www.oceankayak.com/kayaks/angler_editions/prowler_trident_15_angler.html 8-)
  2. Well, before Europeans assigned names in the region, wasn't "Florida" just a freshwater swamp in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean? I think all the "lakes" were just widespots in the shallow rivers. :
  3. +1 That's where and how I want them stuck! 8-)
  4. Competition in the marketplace, ain't it great? http://unattributed.net/html/whiskey.html 8-)
  5. Technically, a lake has water that is deep enough that light cannot reach the bottom which prevents vegetation from growing from the bottom to the surface of the water. Otherwise, it's a pond. http://nsm1.nsm.iup.edu/rwinstea/pond.shtm 8-)
  6. Welcome aboard! Sounds like a pretty remarkable lake. What size is typical and what is the best you've caught on that water? 8-)
  7. Hmm... Now it turns out that in addition to a knee recovering from surgery, Tiger also suffered from a stress fracture in his leg... Well, Burley Oats... That's what I call the "The Greatest Win" in the history of golf. 8-)
  8. Every other week or so, George Welcome posts results of some of his outing. Huge numbers and some real toads. One of the baits/lures that contributes to his client's success is the GYCB Swimming Senko. I'm surprised that we see so little on this bait. During the spring and summer this has been a good producer for me. Most of my most successful outings with the Swimming Senko is in grass. Although many people have good luck fishing the lure weightless, I fish it weighted as suggested by Gary Yamamoto: http://www.insideline.net/articles/swim_senko.html Give it a try, I think you will be pleasantly surprised! p.s. Here's a related article: http://www.imaginationbassin.com/Crawfordswimming_senko.htm 8-)
  9. George, More people read your reports than you think, they just don't post a reply. I for one, really enjoy them and look forward to the day I get to make a trip down there to fish with you. Keep 'em coming! 8-)
  10. This is my 5th year fishing Yo-Zuri Hybrid and/or Hybrid Ultra Soft. As I have stated on numerous occasions, "I have never been broken off by a fish" using this line. :
  11. I have had very good luck with the Cavitron, no trailer. 8-)
  12. Reeds offers free shipping: http://www.reedssports.com/Product/product.taf?_function=detail&_ID=13260 8-)
  13. Off topic... Lucky Craft Man, You have a GREAT avatar! 8-)
  14. That's one heck of a pond! Congratulations! 8-)
  15. St. Croix has improved their warranty program, so it is much like the G. Loomis Xpeditor service: http://www.stcroixrods.com/content.asp?id=14&section=about 8-)
  16. No need for a trailer hook. As has been stated, wait until you feel the weight of the fish to set the hook. If you expect a strike, you won't be so surprised and quick to act. It just takes a little discipline. 8-)
  17. For me, it's screaming drag! When a big brown fish sees the boat for the first time, GAME ON! I love to watch them jump and run. 8-)
  18. Exchange it for another. I test all hard baits before using them. Well, for most of my lures this might actually be the only time they ever get wet! Anyhow, I would simply return the lure. 8-)
  19. Spot on! I consider my AC66MF the perfect "all-around" rod for most treble hooks, spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I particularly like this rod for working jerkbaits and topwater lures. Although I would generally recommend a rod with Moderate Action, the soft tip on this Avid makes it ideal for a variety of applications. However, as Chris at Tech noted, "NOT (soft) plastics/jigs". 8-)
  20. H is for Haggard, T is for Texas. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  21. Here is my suggestion: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196114229 Good luck! 8-)
  22. I think Uncle Josh Pork Trailers are very effective. Maybe this is just the case with bigger sizes, but the pork I use is pre-cut, so getting them on is simple. I don't take them off either. If I still have a rig at the end of the day, cut the line and put the jig and trailer back in the jar, it doesn't hurt a thing. 8-)
  23. Welcome aboard! We have several members from your neck of the woods, I'm sure someonw will drop by with some suggestions. 8-)
