  1. http://us.imdb.com/media/rm3896612864/tt0032138 :
  2. MS American Shad or Baby Bass if you prefer green. 8-)
  3. I have an Ocean Kayak. It's uncomfortable, hard to manuever inside, blows too easily with the wind taking you out of position or at an awkward angle and is definitely not designed for big men! I don't like mine and plan to sell it soon.
  4. This might help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1158577137 8-)
  5. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  6. I guess I would be willing to pay whatever it costs to catch fish like fourbizz, Supermat and Fish Chris have been posting lately. If you really think your $5 swimbait is "just as good" as the lures those guys are throwing, you need to take another look at their pics and compare them to yours. :
  7. There are a lot of Shimanos to choose from and as Alpster pointed out, Chronarchs are not on the list. (Calcutta series didn't make the list, either.) Shimano: Calais CL200 (2) CTE200GT Chronach Metanium Abu Garcia: Revo STX 8-)
  8. My main topwater rig is a St. Croix Avid AC66MF, but for light lures I prefer spinning gear: Fenwick Techna AV AS70MM. 8-)
  9. Great show last night. With all the talent, today's country music personalities seem to still stay on target with their fans. I thought everyone in last night's show put on a remarkable performance, but I was really impressed with Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter, Miley, "Ready, Set, Don't Go." Sugarland just about brought down the house and Brooks & Dunn are always on top of their game. As a sidenote, what was Snoop Dog doing there? 8-)
  10. Another nice fish! 8-)
  11. If you search the site you will find plenty of discussion on this bait. The summary is: "The Banjo Minnow will work when almost anything would work better!" The Slug Go (fluke) is similar, more effective, easier to use and much cheaper. 8-)
  12. ;D ;D ;D CONGRATULATIONS! ;D ;D ;D 8-)
  13. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  14. That is exactly where a lot of guys think the next World Record will be caught! 8-)
  15. I only fish the Fat Ika weightless and weedless, skirt forward on 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu Offset Worm Hook. In still water, <12', this is my most productive bait. I have not been very successful fishing the Fat Ika in moving water (rivers). 8-)
  16. Plastics are always effective (Fat Ika, Single Tail Hula Grub, single tail grubs and tubes), but this time of year jerkbaits ( Lucky Craft Pointers, Husky Jerks, X-Rap and Smithwick Rogues) really shine. In deeper water, 3/4 oz Ledgebuster Single Willow blade spinnerbaits. Don't rule out topwater, either! 8-)
  17. Maybe some of our Nashville guys will respond specifically about the lakes near you, but as a river fisherman, primetime is mid-October through mid-March. Our best fishing on the Tennessee River is during the winter. 8-)
  18. Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb test) Baitcasting gear: Ultra Soft #12 (19.5 lb test) 8-)
  19. There is probably a better deal out there, but BPS has their remaining stock of FBs on sale for $399. I have not seen them advertised, but this was an in-store price at the Memphis store. 8-)
  20. 8-) 8-) 8-) WOW! ;D ;D ;D Matt 5.0, Man, that's quite a fish. Congratutlations! 8-)
  21. Simply different technologies, same results. 8-)
  22. When I initially started fishing Mattlures' Baby Bass I lost several fish, too. Matt told me not to "play" the fish but quickly and forcefully bring it to you. I haven't lost a fish on his swimbaits since then. 8-)
  23. Russ, that's a beauty! A poor fight in saltwater must be a result of the depth you catch them. The inland stripers are exactly the same species and they fight like a freight train! 8-)
