  1. Now, that's funny! ;D ;D ;D
  2. Hey Keith! Here is a thread I saved that will help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1187574843
  3. WOW! Those are some fine bass! 8-)
  4. Welcome aboard! Your post might belong in "Central" section, but it might get more play here so this is where I put it. If you like, repost the same question in the other section of the Forum, too. My #1 suggestion would be focusing on a jig & pig presentation. ____________________________ After seeing your pics on the other thread, I would also suggest Mattlures Baby Bass.
  5. My "kids" are almost grown... :'( My son is starting medical school, my daughter, the "smart one", is a freshman in college. Maybe my wife and I "got lucky", but here are my thoughts, short and sweet: Be a father, not a friend.
  6. Okay, this is my last post on this thread. When Kistler rods were first introduced they were hyped "As good or better than G.Loomis at a better price." Since that time (3-4 years?) the blanks, guides and reel seats have all been replaced. This might be spun as "upgrading" overtime as other companies do, but in Kistler's case, they offer nothing "proprietary" except the magic hook keeper. So, forget about past claims and performance, NOW the rods are "As good or better than G.Loomis at a better price?"
  7. Pre-spawn. In south Texas, I'm told they only have three seasons: July, August and summer. 8-)
  8. Law enforcement officer to homeowner: "So, why did you shoot the perp six times?" Homeowner's response: "I ran out of bullets." :
  9. Thirteen colors, but only one size: 4" This is a fairly big trailer, and I like it! http://***/cgi-bin/order/FH-07
  10. Hmm... 12"-22" sounds like a healthy lake to me.
  11. Welcome aboard! I think the AC68MXF is a pretty versatile rod and would be great for shakey head jigs.
  12. A few other ideas: Check ReelMech's website and see what he has or just be patient and wait on some more customs he is working on. Talk to him about building one for you. Keep an eye on the "Flea Market". Great deals come up all the time.
  13. Don't wait! That's the best Christmas present a woman could ever receive. You're a lucky guy. 8-)
  14. Oops! I knew that, but thanks! I corrected my post.
  15. Hmm... I just bought a St. Croix Legend Elite EC70MHF from Reed's for $204 delivered, but they are no longer on sale. You might consider the Avid AC68MXF.
  16. My fishing partner has two Bronzebacks (SMR811S-SP) that I have fished. My general impression is that the tips are too soft and the blanks are not as sensitive or responsive as IMX blanks. The components are top-notch, but the rods seem wimpy to me.
  17. They do not service reels in their stores. Springfield, MO is the "Home Office."
  18. Spinning: IMX SJR783S Baitcasting: IMX PR844C
  19. "Those who do not know their history are condemned to repeat it." Direct, personal experience is NOT a requirement.
  20. Post your question in the "Northeast Section" too. Someone there that doesn't always visit this section might have a suggestion.
  21. Yes, and here's Glenn's comments on the matter: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196292854
  22. ;D ;D SWEET! ;D ;D 8-)
