Bps reels and rods
Pretty much "average" at every pricing point, but a good value when they are on sale and that happens regularly. The other issue is inconsistency. Closely inspect your purchase and exchange the gear if it is not PERFECT. The BPS warranty is great and over-the-counter for house brands. Don't be shy.

Maybe, but a lot of shad die in the cold. With real baitfish the "pop" is their last shot. As they fall it's easy pickin's for predators.

Match or contrast, it's gotta look cool!- Su spin / under spin
Several years ago I had my best day on the BassResource.com Roadtrip at Pickwick. Sworming Hornet with a LFT Live Magic Shad trailer. My presentation is completely different: Cast and allow the lure to fall on slack line. Hold the rod steady at about 10:00. When the bait reaches the bottom reel up QUICKLY without pumping your rod, about 4-5 cranks. Let the bait fall again on slack line. Repeat until you feel you are "out of the zone". 100% of the strikes occur on the fall. On that particular day I was fishing with Dinky and caught 78 bass.- Berkley Soft plastics what am I missing?
I don't own any Berkley products and have not fished one in more than a decade. However, I am not surprised to hear of their large following, the company has grown dramatically as they have acquired other companies. My experience with some Berkley products makes me skeptical of the overall research and development program featured in the video. Well, for most guys a better reel with dramatically impact the learning curve, but I don't actually know a thing about this particular reel. The entry level reel I recommend is the Shimano Citica, one of which is offered in our Flea Market currently for $50.- I've hit rock bottom...

Well, there are several issues with Chinese knock-offs. Primarily patent and copyright infractions. The "rule of law" it seems does not apply to Chinese trade. As far as I can recall the only thing China has every invented is gunpowder and that was a few years ago. "Gunpowder or black powder is of great historical importance in chemistry. Although it can explode, its principal use is as a propellant. Gunpowder was invented by Chinese alchemists in the 9th century. Originally, it was made by mixing elementalsulfur, charcoal, and saltpeter (potassium nitrate). The charcoal traditionally came from the willow tree, but grapevine, hazel, elder, laurel, and pine cones have all been used. "- Started the new year with an absolute giant.
