  2. Disappointing for Mizzou fans after such a strong showing last year. I was hoping that being a contender in the SEC would lead to greater interest by the top high school candidates.
  3. Well, for some of the less gifted, like me, "do-it-yourself" is not the best option. Mike does a great job and if you can pop for a few extra bucks, have him super- tune your reel!
  4. If you just want to try something "special", the GYCB Custom Gamakatsu was designed by Gary himself. It has some angle adjustment, but most importantly it is thin wire and PERFECT for small and mid-sized soft plastics.
  5. Weights: Tungsten 1/8, 1/4. 3/8 & 1/2 oz Hooks: 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 and 5/0 EWG Offset Worm Hooks Brands: Gamakatsu, Owner, Tokar, Moaner and Daiichi X-Point
  6. I hope to see you on the RoadTrip this year. You need to get signed up, but there is no fee. Even if you can only come for a day or two, I know you will have a good time and meet some great people. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127309-youre-invited-to-the-2014-roadtrip/page-17#entry1445060
  7. Smithwick Rogues are a good value and catch lots of bass! I'm particularly excited about the new Perfect 10. For fishing jerkbaits I recommend monofilament. Specificially #12 Sunline Super Natural.
  8. Just added a couple of local Alabama guys. Sign up and bring a friend!
  9. My #1 swim jig trailer! Vertical.
  10. Well now...ain't that somethin' I'll bet other players will match or maybe even beat that deal.
  11. For enthusiasts, technique specific gear is fun to collect. However, three rigs cover all the basics: #1 6 1/2' or 7' MHF baitcaster for jigs, some soft plastics and spinnerbaits #2 6 1/2' or 7' MM baitcaster for treble hook lures #3 7' MF spinning rod for lighter lures and a variety of techniques
  12. Those would be fine choices!
  13. Pinnacle has invested a lot of time and money introducing the new Tournament Class Reels. If this helps, I'm a die-hard Shimano fan, but now have two XLT and a HiXS. http://www.pinnaclefishing.com/shop/s-5-Tournament-Class-Reels.aspx

  15. Well, not the XT, but here is what I wrote about the XLT: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/pinnacle-optimus-xlt-dhc-review.html

  17. Pretty much the same, but my dedicated jerkbait rod is an Avid AVC66MF.
  18. No, you can just ship the tube. Be sure that both ends a sealed securely. I put bubble wrap arounf the tip, reel seat and butt. then a little seperaely on the top and bottom. This way the rod will not bounce around.
  19. Baitcasting gear: Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12 Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid #6
  20. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SEAHAWKS AND FANS!
  21. ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE?
  22. The forums are fun, but your time is better spent in our library. Read through the articles and watch the videos. You can access everything through the green bar at the top of the page. Welcome aboard! -Kent
