  1. I am experimenting with smaller outside baits to reduce weight. I have also added small blades to the arms for more flash. As noted in my first post on this thread, my "money" lure is the Johnson Silver Minnow.
  2. Thanks. we look forward to hearing from you soon.
  3. You built an Evolution Jig! http://www.megastrike.com/#!products/vstc2=evolution-lures

  5. Lamiglas SR705R/ CTE200GT/ #65 Sufix 832 Outside arms are rigged with Gamakatsu Light Wire 4/0 Offset Worm Hooks/ LFT Live Magic Shad, weightless. Center arm features a Johnson Silver Minnow
  6. Well, that fish could have been just passing by, suspended, on the edge or just lost! Dead vegetation has a VERY low probability of holding fish.
  7. We have no doubt that the recent sign-ups by professional anglers are real and we have some special announcements for BassResource members coming out soon. It's all good in the hood!
  8. 5 is the number, but sometimes that will just result in suspension for some time. The points are used as a warning for members and an alert for the Moderators. People get banned immediately for spamming. Otherwise it's always case by case. We want everyone to just have fun and be pleasant, it's pretty simple really.
  9. Focus on structure: Points, rip-rap, humps. ledges, rocks & boulders, verticle cliff walls and more generally, anything that seems to "stick out".
  10. Better take another look at the Smokin' Rooster http://ragetalk.com/index.php?topic=3877.0
  11. If you join us at Pickwick for the RoadTrip you will meet some great guys from all over the country! Bring your wife, there will several couples attending. This is NOT a "good ole boys" kind of get together, you and your wife will feel right at home
  12. Well, there are NEVER any fish there this time of year. Dead, decomposing vegetation depletes the oxygen in the water. The bottom of the food chain is effectively closed right now in those areas.
  13. What you really need is a number of these spots marked. Spend 30 minutes and move to the next spot if you don't get a bite. Fish will stack up in these spots nearly everyday, but not necessarily at the time you are there. Rotate around and come back. Last summer two boats and four fishermen struggled without a single bite for 5 hours. When we finally found 'em we caught 45 bass in an hour and a half!
  14. Which jig head is featured in the finished jig you have pictured?
  15. Lamiglas SR705R/ CTE200GT/ #65 Sufix 832 Outside arms are rigged with Gamakatsu Light Wire 4/0 Offset Worm Hooks/ LFT Live Magic Shad, weightless Center arm features a Johnson Silver Minnow.
  16. The 7" Anaconda and Thumper are more along the line of trick worms. 10" versions are big worms!
  17. Well... Is this so much different than the other 200 Seibert Outdoors jigs I own? What makes this so compelling? I already have some "Most Beautiful In The World" and yet this Bed Bug seems so surreal. So what do you suggest, all 3/8 or do a NEED other sizes?
  18. For me the two best Super Bowls in the last 20 years were XXXII (Denver vs Green Bay) and XXXIV (St. Louis vs Tennessee), the greatest final play in Super Bowl history. Mano-a-mano and take no prisoners!
  19. If you don't like fluorocarbon line, but feel you need it at certain times, tie a fluoro leader.
  20. I don't think jigs have a season. I'm sure some colors are extra special on certain lakes, but all the standard colors are somebody's favorite! The Seibert Outdoor's Big O/ Rage Lobster, (both in Falcon), is one of my go-to combinations. Black with a blue trailer has always been good to me, too.
  21. You have plenty of big fish opportunities in North Carolina. My point was that the action of Keitech makes a big bait seem bigger. I think it intimidates small fish. I know we all catch a minnow occasionally on large lures, but I never catch little ones this particular bait. BTW, If you are targeting stripers, they need to be busting shad on the surface. You already know this thing can be cast a mile. Try to get beyond the school and reel through them. Be careful, you might get your arm broke!
  22. As J Francho pointed out on another thread, the target market is potential Steez buyers.
  23. Bass Pro has a good one. I found a chalk line retrival case at a garage sale that really works great for storing the line. So, you might want to buy one of those, too.
  24. Well, I don't think I have ever caught a bass under 5 lbs on this bait, so I don't really care whether it gets torn up or not. My biggest issue on the Tennessee River are little 10-12 lb stripers. They destroy this bait.
  25. Yes! Suggestion: BUY A LURE RETRIEVER if you don't have one!
