  6. If you look back through the last 10, 50 or 200 pages in this section, you'll run across this question a few times. The answers are usally the same. "Best" always depends on the reel(s) the responder fishes. I favor Shimano, others love their Abu Garcia, BPS, Pflueger, Diawa, Johnny Morris, Pinnacle, Quantum, etc. So, if you have the opportunity to borrow a few reels and try them out for yourself, that would be ideal.Otherwise, you're kind of stuck trusting the recommendations from either friends or guys here that you respect. But even in that regard, some of our best fisherman still fish the wrong reels! p.s. I recommend the Curado 200E7 ;D ;D
  7. Any of you guys ever been in a BPS store? Do you think Bill Dances uses all that stuff? How 'bout the pink little girl rods? It's biz, that's all.
  8. Excellent! New hat, too?
  9. "The Rules" are simply guidelines to help fishermen organize their game plan. For most guys, and especially people new to the sport, these "rules" are very helpful. They allow you to spend more time using proven techniques under appropriate conditions. "The Rules" have been built on millions of hours of fishing by fishermen all over the world. Real men don't fish pink. Maybe bubblegum, but not "pink". :
  10. Aren't those "standard ingredients" for hot dogs?
  11. The real issue is the money behind the car or team. A few guys will win due to some fluke, but for the most part, less than half the field is in contention. The rest are just filler. :-X

  18. Geez.... Step up to St. Croix Avids or G.Loomis IMX Choosing a rod based on a 1 year warranty is ridiculous.
  19. Here is the news release from The Department Of Justice: http://www.justice.gov/usao/flm/pr/2010/sep/20100921_OperationCastaway_FTM_GunIndmts.pdf Seems pretty straightforward: Arrested, pleads guilty, convicted and sentenced.
  20. I wanted some of the Rage Tails to be softer, so Big O softened some of his baits! 8-)
  21. I fish the Roboworms on a split shot rig and Shak-E2. 8-)
