spinning rod
My partner does some guiding and supplies his clients with Falcon rods. They are durable and seem to be just fine for "moving" lures. However, St. Croix Avids are a step or two up. I fish six St. Croix, six G. Loomis, a Lamiglas and a Fenwick Techna AV. Although I prefer G. Loomis, St. Croix is the "best value". 8-)

Lipless Cranks
I fish most brands except original Rat-L-Traps. Honestly, in terms of productivity, they all seem about the same to me. When the liplesss crank bite is on, it's on! One notable exception: I'm not usually concerned about lure colors, but have found that to be especially important with these lures. I don't know exactly why, but that's a consistent observation. Most of the time I fish the XCalibur Xr50, blue chrome/ orange, but sometimes other colors are WAY more productive. This weekend it was sexy shad. 8-)

War Eagle spinner baits
Welcome aboard! The War Eagle spinnerbaits are very popular and seem to be well made. There are a lot of guys on this forum that use nothing else. If you are looking for another suggestion, MegaStrike has just come out with a new line and ***'s selection is one of the very best. Both are BassResource.com sponsors. 8-)

Good Small topwaters
The Zara Puppy (silver & black) is the most productive topwater lure I have ever fished. However, I don't actually fish it anymore, the fish I always caught were small. 8-)
