  1. Interesting point. I prefer fishing jigs and soft plastics slooooooow, but that's not possible with most of the guys I fish with. I simply adjust and use other presentations. The upside is using a lot of hardbaits that don't see any action from the bank! 8-)
  2. Nice fish, great post! 8-)
  3. 3/8 oz Cavitron Buzzbzit, black on black 8-)
  4. I don't know what you can do, but it's not going to do any good here...Dude has lost his membership privileges. It's unlikely he will read this post and he cannot respond on this forum. -Kent
  5. Maybe not, but it serves as a warning. Even bad guys don't want to deal with an armed man. 8-)
  6. Spinning tackle: InvizX #8. Line diameter is .009, the same as most brands #4. I have been experimenting with this line since last fall without an issue. Baitcasting gear: AbrazX #12. No issues. Both of these Seaguar fluorocarbons have proven to be superior products which justifies their premium price. 8-)
  7. Call customer service and they will send you the exact tip top designed for your rod. 8-)
  8. Rods are probably more important for "bottom contact" fishing, but reels make fishing fun! 8-)
  9. Trust me: GLX MBR842C It just might become your favorite rod. Mine is matched up with the Core 50MG7. 8-)
  10. Please take a look around before starting a new thread. We have one running on fluoro that was started earlier this morning. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior
  11. Try our sponsor's spinnerbaits. Russ ***, MegaStrike, NorthStar and Rattle Head offer proprietary spinnerbaits. Several other carry a number of different brands. All of our sponsors stand behind their products. 8-)
  12. That's a beauty! 8-)
  13. No. I use JJ's Magic for jig trailers and MegaStrike for all other soft plastics. 8-)
  14. Want to try something else? Send me your address and I'll send you a combination to test out after the Roadtrip. You can fish it all summer and see what you think. -Kent 8-)
  15. I'm partial to the GMAN Mop jig. Matched with the Rage Tail Lobster, it's a HUGE presentation! #1 for me last winter and early spring. Right now I'm fishing the Lobster naked on a Shake2 jig head. Although I'm short on monsters, I am confident one is in my future. 8-)
  16. Hmm... Striper is easy...You need to come sometime this summer. Let me know. -Kent

  18. Rumor has it, Pickwick Dam is holding all water and the TVA is draining Kentucky Lake. They hope to complete the project on or before Saturday, May 1, 2010. Prior to drainage, Rotenone will be released to kill all fish and flush them out of the river system. You may still find a few floaters, so be sure to bring your nets. :
  19. Because I didn't know how to contact anyone. I forgot my password and I can't use the password recovery because I don't have that email addy anymore. Can you help a brother out? Yes. I'll get back with you.
  20. https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?action=viewprofile;username=51756767767563766770020 Why are you re-registering?
  21. I think you are overlooking the fact that largemouth bass are "officially" considered trash fish in Japan. Every fish caught is suppose to be killed, never released. Given the current status of the bass, potential sponsors seem well advised to keep their distance. They still profit from equipment sales without the stigma associated with confronting the law.
  22. I didn't mean "out with the old, in with the new". My tackle collection really began in earnest in 1997. Over nearly 14 years, I have acquired just 5 G.Loomis. Assuming the new models get rave reviews, I might pick one up next year. 8-)
  23. Please read FAQs before posting. We have very few topics that are "off limits". This is one of them. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1121527643 This thread is closed. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
