  1. Okay...The question has been answered: First two numbers = length in inches. Last number=Power. Good night Irene. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  2. Suggestions: Rage Tail Baby Craw, T-rigged, naked (no jig) Swarming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad Strike King Red Eyed Shad Rage Tail Lizard and Eeliminator, C-rigged 8-)
  3. Use the LFT Live Magic Shad as a trailer on the Swarming Hornet. This was KILLER for me last week on Pickwick. Note: The lure is fished by reeling, then letting the lure drop vertically on slack line. The blade lifts the bait. Do not lift your rod, this only moves the Hornet forward, not up. Strikes will always occur on the fall. As you resume your retrieve, set the hook if you feel anything. 8-)
  4. No edits, no deletions. I think we're all on the same page here, but this thread has run its course. Good night Irene. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  5. Please post a group picture if you have one. Thanks!

  7. Nice post, but you forgot out initial meeting: "Geez, I didn't know you were so little" ;D ;D ;D
  8. I have VERY high regard for your opinion and input. I am not disparaging your post, I simply have a different take. No offense intended. 8-)
  9. Some of us have rolled them up in a window or smashed them in a door, but I have never known anyone to "break" a rod. G. Loomis sets the standard. Everything other brand of the highest quality claims to be "just like a G. Loomis (GLX)", but cheaper. St. Croix makes a rod comparable to the IMX and I have several, including two Legend Elite. Great rods at a great price, but not G. Loomis. 8-)
  10. This entire thread has been amusing.
  11. Fish deeper water. 8-)

Welcome aboard! I live in Germantown and fish Pickwick occasionally, too! 8-)
  18. I noticed everyone at Pickwick last week used a variety of line types, colors and diameters. Can't say I saw or heard any differences in performance, just preferences. 8-)
  19. Uncle Leo and his partner Fred were VERY successful at Pickwick last week. These are similar lakes, you should take his advice. Suggestions for baits and lures: Rage Tail Baby Craw, Red Eye Shad and Swarming Hornet with a 3 1/2" LFT Magic Live Shad trailer. I also caught a few on a 3/4 oz Ledgebuster Single Willow Blade spinner bait (chartreuse). When you find grass, try flipping into and around the weeds. I used a 5" Senko with good success, but you could probably use any soft plastic. Good luck! 8-)
  20. State laws vary, you will have to check. In Tennessee, bluegill can be used as bait. 8-)
  21. I suppose "acting like a teenager" is par for the course when you're just 19, but NO ONE appreciates your "humor". -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  22. I currently have a 1000FA, 2500FB and 2500FD. That said, I HIGHLY recommend a new Stradic 2500 CI4. This would be a much better choice verses a used FA.
  23. A different suggestion that most of the guys at the Roadtrip killed 'em on: Baby Rage Tail Craw, T-rigged, 1/8-1/4 oz bullet weight, unpegged. Let the Craw drop to the bottom and fish it SLOWLY on and around cover or structure. 8-)
  24. Fish the first break off gravel flats in deeper water and right up against bluffs. If you can locate ledges and humps, try them, too. More generally: Go deep! 8-)
