Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Ultra Soft?
Ultra Soft is more manageable on both spinning and baitcasting equipment. However, if you fish extremely clear water, original Hybrid is virtually invisible and far less problematic than the pure fluorocarbon lines. 8-)

Building a limited arsenal on a budget...
Technique specific rods are for "enthusiasts". Almost all your fishing can be done with just one rod. Beyond that, you only "need" three rods: Spinning: 6 1/2' or 7', M or MH, Fast Action (soft plastics and light lures) Baitcasting: MH or H, Fast Action (jigs, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and all single hooks) Baitcasting: MH, Moderate Action (all treble hook lures) 8-)

Cumara VS. Loomis IMX
My choice would be the MBR844C. It is my favorite baitcasting rod! 8-)

Well-possibly one of the greatest movies I have ever seen Thanks To Dozer
Nope, just popularity. I'm actually a huge fan of the B movies. My general criteria is: loud, violent and a little T&A! No plot, dialogue or character development required. Terminator & Conan series, Heat, Miami Vice, We Were Soldiers, Troy, Rambo, Die Hard series... that kinda stuff. AVATAR fits the profile. 8-)

Shaky Head Suggestions: Rod, Reel, Line, Jig/Worm
Well, that seems silly to me. I'm never trying to "cover a lot of water" with a shaky head! This is a presentation to use once you found 'em. There are many reasons for a heavier weight and bigger presentations. The most obvious are depth and current. I prefer the heavier weighted jig head sometimes so I can jiggle the bait without moving the jig. Casting distance is another issue, especially if combined with wind. For light presentations: St. Croix ES70MF/ Stella 2500FD/ Yo-Zuri Hybrid #6/ 1/4 or 3/8 oz Shake2 jig head. For a bigger presentation: G. Loomis MBR842C/ Core 50MG7/ Hybrid #12 and 1/2 oz Shake2. 8-)

Three second fish memory 'just rubbish'
Midday = maximum light penetration. Activating plankton-->craws & baitfish-->predators. Maybe? Or, back on topic, maybe bright light triggers memory and reminds the fat girls to get up for lunch! 8-)

Three second fish memory 'just rubbish'
I guess what it comes down to in a nutshell, IMO, is that educated fish are most vulnerable during periods of obscured lighting, when they have a notable advantage on prey (are actively hunting), and/or are in high competition with each other. These things can override a fish's caution. This timing thing tells me that angler activity IS an issue on hard fished waters. Paul, Many of the big bass guys on this forum have repeatedly stated, "The best fishing is 10:00 - 2:00, midday". What's commonly considered primetime is low light. Why? Because most guys fish shallow and beat the bank? The fish seem more vulnerable simply because they left the house to get a bite to eat. Those fishing "at the house" would catch the same fish throughout the day. It seems like successful tournament guys have figured that out. Aren't most weigh-ins around 3:00? If you can only catch fish in low-light, you better fish fast, early! 8-)

NFL overtime rule
Hmm... If it's 50/50, just like the coin toss, why should anything be changed? :

Cavitron BuzzBaits
Every lure or bait that's loved by some is hated by others. Lots of our guys won't fish a GYCB soft plastic; some don't think MegaStrike or KVD Line & Lure Conditioner are effective...Others swear by these products. As stated earlier, I'm a big fan of the Cavitron Buzzbait. 8-)

Lipless cranks in clear waters
Well, my collection is large, both brands and color. However, this is the only one you need! http://www.***.com/descpageXCALLPSCRNK-XCRB.html You don't need to hit anything, but the best bet is always ticking or ripping through grass. Fish it as fast as you can, the lure is strictly a reaction bait. 8-)

Do we Make Fishing Too Complicated?
The "right" lure and the "right" color may produce more or better bass, but if you are able to find them, almost anything will trick a few if you can put it in their face! I would bet most guys could fish a dozen lures or less and do just as well as they do with a thousand. When I buy a lure I usually test it in my pool. Otherwise, the vast majority will never be used. Still, I picked up a couple more last weekend and will probably continue to add to the collection. Crazy, huh? 8-)
