  1. Is there any law enforcement agency that is willing to pursue these people? I used to forward the Nigerian deals to the FBI, but never received any replies, so I gave up. >
  2. EXCELLENT! ;D ;D ;D
  3. Nice fish, great pic! 8-)
  4. Well, as you see from the responses, everyone has a favorite brand. The advantage of buying a BPS house brand is ease of exchange or replacement. If you go that route, be patient, they are always on sale. You might consider a combination since the savings are really good. Just keep an eye out for specials. Good luck! 8-)
  5. Welcome aboard! 8-)

  7. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  8. That was great, but this is the one I remember: 8-)
  9. Fenwick Techna AV AVC70MHF if you can find it on sale for around $130. (Cabela's is sold out). 8-)
  10. Well, you are nearly "full-up" with your baitcasting collection, it's probably time to start working a little harder on spinning tackle. There's no point in "working your way up", just start out with a new Shimano Stella 2500FD. That should take care of shipping costs for Edgar's reel covers. :
  11. Skillet's advice is spot on, but here's something to get you started: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1189609782 8-)
  12. Symetre SY2500FJ...Strong, smooth, silent and reliant. The best bang for the buck. http://www.cabelas.com/p-0060367123667a.shtml 8-)
  13. The BEST VALUE right now is the Fenwick Techna AV on sale at Cabela's for $129. I haven't been too jazzed on this brand simply because they raised their prices from $169 to around $229. However, at the sale price, it's a no-brainer! http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/common/search/search-results1.jsp?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&hasJS=true&_D%3AhasJS=+&sort=all&QueryText=fenwick+techna+av&Go.x=26&Go.y=6&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23 8-)
  14. I hope you will come back next May. Although you guys did real well, the fishing on the lake is better in the spring. Right now the fall bite has come on BIG TIME on the river. 8-)
  15. CONGRATULATIONS! ;D ;D ;D
  16. You should be sponsored by Discovery or National Geographic! Man, GREAT thread. ;D ;D
  17. Wow! Great story, fish and pics! ;D ;D ;D
  18. Well now...That's special. I'm proud to say I have fished with a few women with EXACTLY the same attitude. Two thumbs up: "You go girl!" 8-)
  19. If you haven't noticed our new sticky, check it out at the top of every section. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?virboard=gen_bass;num=1253486034 ;D ;D ;D
  20. My firewall works pretty well, but for some reason my lottery winnings sneak through. A couple of months ago I won 8.5MM pounds in Great Britain; a few weeks ago $3.5mm in Nigeria. I don't remember buying a lottery ticket, so I didn't open the files. If y'all "win" I suggest you do the same.
  21. We lived in Denver 1981-1997, for most of the John Elway era. BTW, I have several "Favorite Teams" and the Cowboys are near the top of the list. Whether the Boys beat themselves really doesn't matter. The most lame excuse, but my favorite: "We would have won if we hadn't run out of time (or if we had scored more points!)" The record reads, Denver 17 - Dallas 10. Denver is, surprisingly, 4-0. ;D ;D ;D ;D
  22. I have an FA, two FB and a FD. There is NOTHING comparable to the FD. For purely fishing, you might not notice much difference, but from a mechanical engineering stand point, they are miles apart. For most people, buy the FB and be VERY happy, but for you, the FD is the only option. Trust me... -Kent a.k.a roadwarrior
