Another vote for the Kistler Helium. I’ve had a lot of rods in this price range and none of them come close in regards to sensitivity.

Search for Daiwa Gillion on Amazon. They’re currently 223 plus tax. Takes a little longer to get than the other JDM sites, I ordered 2 from there and got them in a couple of weeks . Digitaka has them for 241 no tax and get it in 3 days

I’m the same way. Once in a blue moon I’ll break out the spinning rod and throw a dropshot or something, but after 5 or 10 minutes I get bored out of my mind and go back to throwing a jig or crankbait.
