  1. After 31 consecutive wins against Kentucky, one of the longest streaks in all of college football, the Florida Gators lost 27-16 last night. The game ended with a gator fumble and Kentucky picked it up and ran it for a touchdown to close the win.
  2. That’s an awesome fish
  3. I am very interested in buying a few jigs from you guys but I honestly have no clue where to start... you should make a list of a few jigs that would be great for shallow water usually like 3-6 ft with popular weights and colors. I love fishing jigs but I am not the most talented at knowing which ones to buy.? I’m sure there are other people on here feel the same way.
  4. Agreed man! go gators all the way from NE!
  5. Another vote for lews. IMO there’s no other brand that’s as comforatable and fishes as well as lews
  6. I’m kicking myself now... a few years ago when I got really into bass fishing I found one in a tree but gave it away because I thought it looked like a gag.?
  7. Ok thanks for the replies everyone!
  8. So I am going to southern Missouri in a few weeks for a smallmouth and trout fishing trip. We will be on the north fork of the white river... I think that’s what it’s called. The water is crystal clear and only like 5 feet deep. If I remember correctly the bottom is slate and or small rocks. The water isn’t also really cold. What lures that I already have for largemouth might work for smallmouth. I don’t want to have to buy new stuff and I figure largemouth lures would work. What are some all around good lures for smallmouth that I probably already have from largemouth. I know this is a very vague question but I have very little experience with smallmouth and want to keep things simple. Thanks!
  9. Wish I could have seen the look on your face when that thing hit your frog!?
  10. That feeling when you see that monster bass jump and then you see the the hook fly out of it’s mouth, makes me wanna cry
  11. Once you start getting a headache every time you stand up it is time to drink water, unfortunately I usually don’t remember to drink water until I get to the headache point?
  12. Duo realis pencil 110... they don’t seem very popular but they are so effortless to walk. I like them better than the heddon and that is saying something. I don’t throw walking baits often but when I do this is the one.
  13. That is a great rod and reel and stick with the jig it will be annoying at first but once you get the first fish on it you won’t be able to put the jig rod down... trust me i was the exact same way and now I always have jigs close. Good luck!
  14. Ok that’s kind of what I was thinking I just couldn’t get over it. Thanks for the replies!
  15. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought when it came to reels graphite was a negative. If so why are higher end reels such as the shimano chronarch graphite. Is there like a “high end” graphite that is a high quality material or what? I’m just not understanding why a $280 reel (I think that’s the price) would be made of graphite. I mean it doesn’t really effect me because I’m not planning on getting one but I was just confused when I heard it was graphite.
  16. That’s the way to do it?
  17. That was me and I got over it by going to a small lake with a rocky dam and fishing a squarebill all day. May have just been a lucky day but since then I have had way more confidence in them.
  18. I’m in the same boat, I couldn’t get a single jig bite so I never fished them but this spring I picked them up again and I have been slamming them. I don’t know what it is about jigs but that moment when you feel something hit it and run to the side and you set the hook like it’s a world record fish is just one of the best things.
  19. I also switched, now I use the massive packs of “stick-os” from bass pro that you can get for like 25 bucks and I don’t seem to really notice too much of a difference... but I don’t fish tournaments so I don’t really need that one more possible fish so for that reason there is no reason to spend the extra money.
  20. That is a hog! Congrats!
  21. Yeah I’m with the others you gotta fish it to find out... I would do it soon because where I live there are a few lakes a little while away but I fish like 90% in ponds and there are some giants and they are generally far less pressured.
  22. $30 gets you bass pros backpack... I was gonna get a nicer one but went with that one because it holds more planos than the other ones. I am extremely satisfied after like a year of using it so far.
  23. Less tackle... Less rods... Nah, not for me I do feel like the ridiculous amount of colors of everything is quite overrated, but I mean KVD does it so if you wanna be a good fisherman you need 3 of each 48 colors of each 6 sizes of squarebills, right?? *To save you the math that is 864 squarebills (I don’t even think I’ve used squarebills that many times)
