Ive been a member for 7 years or so. I do not always agree with their decisions or stands, but I believe they are gun owners biggest voice in DC.

I use to run a 55# Minn Kota on a 12' drift boat. It pushed that boat around with no problem.

I would make several trips in it first before adding too much. The things you listed are good places to start. I would also fish at least once before installing the Garmin so you can see where the most optimal mounting location would. Enjoy the new ride!

I was also thinking Lowes or Harbor Frieght. Also check Home Depot or even Craigs List.
