Id like to see a trilene knot test compared to the Polamar knot i have 3 loops when use anything over 10 pounds and 4 or 5 loops for small line and i really do think spit does what its suppose too lupricating and coolin down the line i do this like second nature since i been old enough to tie a GOOD knot

I dont like putting my hoook on my reel leaves room for a nice dull hook and putting them into ur guide is a no no even on the foot of the guide eventally it will wear off the paint and cause rust and putting it into the cork aint a good idea eaither

I looked all over my area for um cant find um i have ONE that i bought at a yard sale along with about 10 jitterbugs and a few other topwaters the Horse i have is wood and is sorta like a firetiger.One last resort to find um near me is to head over to Greentop

I used braid for about a month since it dont have much stretch i was loosing fish when they jumped .But as a few of the other posters have said braid isnt indestructable .It is great for long cast BUT if your casting to rocks it dont matter if ur using 80 lb braid it will give in .Now i have one rod with braid for ideal conditions and it is 4 lb power pro on a spinning rig,i did have 6 rods filled with PP dont get me wrong its a great line but just not my cup of tea all i use now majority of the time is trilene big game and trilene maxx for the smaller test neither of these have let me down .I also have a few reels spooled with Yo Zuri hybrid wich is UV resistant i can keep um in the sun for days without any worry .Perfect for my saltwater rods

if u aint lost a tip to a fan u will never run with the big dogs..fact

I think u want to stay away from hybrids or floro on a topwater rod the lines sink u want a line that floats for topwater,A lot easier to do what ever ur doing walk the dog /poppping/ or reeling

At least u didnt break the tip on a 300 dollar rod and have to send them 50 more for the same rod ;D

If i was u id make sure u get a rod 5 foot or more the short ones dont have much tip action and dont cast as far .I have 2 ultra lights both are the same reel and rod 600u garcias and plfuegar gold medalist rods i use 4 lb and 2 lb Berkely Xt in green .and dont forget to get some 00 mepps and small floating rapalas

Camping with a tent roughing it BUT i always seem to camp where i can fish or vice versa .So fishing ,camping ,hanging out with friends/family,Hiking,Road trips.No matter what,where or when i always have a fishing rod within 5 foot of me

I use a T-rig the most i can say im a expert with a t rig a C-rig i tried before i just dont feel all that comfortable with it ,I think a stickbait takes the place of a c rig then again i dont fish much over 10 foot deep,Shaky head im just now tryin the last month or so and i have had great luck in clear water 3 too 10 foot deep with a Strike king 3x worm
