Wow im not a shim man i do like calcuttas though,just weird. They done changed the low pros like 10 times in 5 yrs.I know they are nice reels and last a lifetime but what happens when that thumb bar breaks or side cover cracks then u have a obsolete reel.

Why does shimano do this to there low pros??? But calcuttas are the same now as they where 10 yrs ago

I have about 3lbs of hooks. Every hook ever made even have forged hooks.you could say im a hook collector.this tackle store went out of business 5 yrs ago had owners on sale for 50 cents to 75 cents i bought all 70 packs i think i added up the retail price and it was like 800 $ And also some place i cant remeber had VMC barbarian hooks in a kit marked $1.50 i bought all them also about 8 kits .anyone need hooks???

Used straight shanks all my life..then they made offsets i tried um and sold um i dont use bulky plastics so offsets didnt di much for me .try this simple test put a offset on some string and drag it across your carpet then do the same with a straight shank.id rather have infinity between my hook point and hook eye ,were as a offset u got only a 1/4 opening or less between the point and the bend .no room for mistakes.

I base line size with cover,objects etc not fish size
