I used a Cadence 7' rod and for a cheap rod it performed well.

The okuma celilo is a really nice rod. Currently on sale at Amazon. The field and stream rod is a nice one for trout.

I have not been in a DSG in years because of the poor selection. I will at times jump on an online deal.. nice score

Caught a few Muskies on them casting and trolling them..

Got out today for a couple hours in the kayak. Tried a Ned rig for the first time and boated 3 nice keepers in about 30 minutes....Nothing else was working.

Just picked up a spoon a couple weeks ago after watching a buddy do well with one.

My buddy has that rod and it feels fantastic..He likes it for panfishing but not sure of the technique....

Used them in Red Shad and did well

Just got back from the island. Walleye did not cooperate but the pike and smallmouth did. Got some real nice ones and saw some absolute hangs..My first time up there...Stayed at Pappins Resort.... great time..

Lews carbon fire is always on sale at Dicks. Pretty solid rod for the price. It was my frog rod last year.

I bought a couple last year from Academy. Cheap enough it wasn't worth trying to make on my own. Did pretty well in the local river and pretty cool to see the different colors on them

Dunns Sporting Goods just posted Duckett Bait cast reels for $49.99. I don't know anything about them but seems like a decent reel.

There is a Cabelas within 10 minutes of downtown Grand Rapids. Al and Bobs is just south on 131 at 68th st. D and R is in kazoo and worth checking out. Not much else in GR

I only shop Dicks online as they will have some deals on baits. Hate going into either of the stores around here. I do like Academy for online deals also, love their h2o cranks.

I have been very pleased with my 2 Diego's and 3 kast king reels. I really like the speed demon.

I have had great experiences with simmons on ebay with rods and reels too...

I will try again..Was fun but boy did I suck at my picks..lol

I have been 100 percent satisfied with the 3 Kastking reels I have used last summer..I also used a couple Diawa Fuego's... I personally liked the Kastkings very well over my shimanos / abu garcias...
