  1. I have picked up a few of these for stream smallies
  2. Thanks for the code. They had a couple favorite rods on sale and free shipping, that extra $10 off was the deal sealer for me....
  3. anyone use SportsmansOutfitters;??? Do they have any coupon codes out there..??
  4. I had an old town vapor angler and it was nice. I just got a Pelican catch 120 and it is so comfortable I can not believe it.
  5. This time of year I am either fishing salmon or steelhead in the rivers or in a tree stand. I want to chase bass but have never fished for them this late in the year. Where can I expect to find them in the lakes and what techniques would be recommended. Thanks Scott
  6. I got a couple fuego reels this year and really nice for $55-$60..
  7. Hoping to try a Favorite rod if a good coupon comes along..
  8. Flatfish have a lot of side to side wobble. We use them here in / Michigan for Salmon. The smaller ones could be good. Casting them can be a pain at times as they plane and twist causing the hooks to grab the line. Get a couple and give then a try I would be curious how you do.
  9. After going thru a bunch of you tube videos I think I will just get a scuba diving reel. Less than $20 on the auction site and should work for any usage I have realistically..Thanks for the input....
  10. I just picked up my Pelican Catch 120 today and I am looking into an anchor system. I am looking at the low profile anchor wizard off the rear of the yak. I see a lot of people with a trolley rope at the side to move it more towards the front or rear...This will be used in rivers as well as lakes.....Thanks for any input..Scott
  11. Heading up tomorrow for 6 days but no boat. Any chance here will be bass in the shallows. I know this is a prime fishery in the spring but just wondered what might be swimming around within casting distance from shore...Thanks, Scott
  12. seldom can pass up a coupon. But I am getting better
  13. I used my brother in laws catch 120 and what a comfortable seat it has. Paddled decent too. I sold my old town the next week.
  14. I just got a Mach Crush 2 days ago and have yet to fish it. Feels great and seems like a workhorse. I have a couple other lews and you cant go wrong with them.
  15. great price on their crankbaits when they are on sale. I have had real good luck this year with their baits...
  16. Abby replied to Montanaro's topic in Fishing Tackle
I have been using all 3600 for my bass lures. Still trying to figure out assorting terminal gear
  17. I have been die hard Power Pro for muskie fishing for years too. Glad to know there is something else out there...
  18. Their tumblers are as good as the yeti ones....
  19. Old Town Vapor. It is the 10 foot angler model. I have duck hunted out of it with no issues. I like it but due to a knee injury I have a hard time getting in and out of it. Looking to get a sit on yak. I fished this morning in it and caught a few bass and pike.
  20. My inflatable blew up on me by getting wet. I bought a mesh upper pfd from cabelas and it is pretty comfy for the kayak or boat. The whole family has them and they are reasonable price, especially on sale..
  21. zip off pants were on sale at cabelas for like $22. Cabelas brand. I have 2 pair, one is the more expensive pair and I like them.
  22. Yea, no doubt the teeth sliced the line. Bummed because I only brought 1 lure to mess with and actually got into fish. Sad thing is that lil pike had the lure choked and I am sure no way was it able to dislodge it. I have used big game for my musky trolling rods (30lb) with no issues...
  23. No report here, but I think they are about 3 weeks behind this spring up that way.
  24. I just spooled up with yozuri 12 lb and had a hammer handle pike engulf my crank bait and cut me off at the boat. Hoped it would have held up a little better. I will spool up some big game on my other reel.
  25. I just spooled a couple up with Big Game in 12 and spooled a couple up with yo zuri hybrid. Giving both a go this week
