  1. I agree, I just bought a bunch this year too and the paint jobs are awesome. I have not thrown them yet and I havent even taken them out of their boxes....
  2. Same boat for me (pun), Had to replace my washer, now wrestling with water pump on boat motor, lawn mower won't run, window motor went out on jeep, and the Tigers suck this year..
  3. Congrats...Beautiful fish
  4. I have a number of st croix premier rods and they are great. On sale now at Cabelas too...
  5. Adreneline junky I got the same colors along with a bunch of zooms, thanks for the codes. Cabelas has St Croix Premier rods on sale..

  7. I fish in Michigan and I am wondering what brands / colors of craws you all could recommend for jig trailers and softbait Smallmouth fishing in general. Thanks, Scott
  8. Smallies are a blast on a fly rod. I have only caught them in the rivers and stripping streamers is loads of fun. Limited fishing for bass as I usually by accident catch a few on popping bugs or spiders for bluegills. I did catch a pretty nice one a few years ago stripping streamers for Muskies in a local lake.
  9. Bummer, I didn't get any Cabelas coupons.
  10. That Yammamoto Hula Grub has caught some nice largemouths for me and I plan on trying them for smallies this year..
  11. Use to be Cabelas almost exclusively but I seem to lean more towards BPS lately. I did recently discover Academy and TW with my new smallmouth obsession and the bait monkey has taken over...
  12. I just grabbed a Kastking Stealth to try. $42 with the ebay code..
  13. Little late, but I have one and I like it. I think that is a good deal
  14. I just got a box of their square bill lures and they look solid with great coloring. I have yet to try them out but the sale price and free shipping was too good to pass up... GO FOR IT...
  15. Finding this deals thread has sure cost me at Academy and ebay. Not to mention tackle warehouse as well as my regulars in Cabelas and Bass Pro.
  16. I agree, the Pflueger reels are really good and the Berkley Lightening rods I have are nice and have held up to a lot of abuse on the streams and in the boat.

I am looking to tie up some hair jigs. I have been fly tying for a long time and just need jig heads. It looks like the jig heads used are primarily football style and poison tail.? Where is the best place to get these style heads.? I do not think molding my own is an option at this time. Thanks, Scott
  19. Great looking jigs....AND a great looking stringer of eyes
  20. Just ordered from both tonite. Cabelas bargain cave finally had some deals.
  21. Wow..... Stunning work....m
  22. Does a 7' med lt 4-10 lb blank have a place in the smallie arsenal.? I just got an email for a sale on this blank (unknown brand) for $27 and wonder if it is too light of an application for fishing smallies. Might try to make my girls some panfish / trout rods..
  23. M-hole just posted deals on epoxy kits....
  24. I use Seagur Blue Label for steelhead and salmon in the rivers. Good stuff
