  1. Can you write/take a clearer picture of that fine print? Also is there something on the rod itself that marks it as B stock? TIA
  2. Just wondering since I never have fished a silent version... Do you catch more on a silent model? Obviously there are times for them- but I fish clear water and do not really think the rattles deter bites. But then again- I don't see the fish the just let the bait go. Thoughts on your experience with rattles vs silent?
  3. Scariest thing for me is the Pike love them too. I'm nuts watching the bait/line once a pike is on. Luckily (knock on wood) I am in the same boat as you right now.
  4. What line do you use and how much line is left on the K after casting? I am concerned that it will not be enough as I am in between 30-40lb braid (I don't like since most likely will backlash and cast one off) 20 lb invisx- not sure I have enough capacity- and purchased some Sunline Defier Armilo Nylon Line 19lb 165yd to try out as WRB suggested with the smaller diameter and other benefits. Especially since it was on closeout and then 20% off on top of that... Debating if I need to get a bigger reel in the Tat 200 with these line capacity issues. I just do not know how far I will be able to cast these things.
  5. I ended up choosing this @ 119. I will let you know how it feels (hopefully will get to cast it before the freeze)
  6. KTP had buy 3 get 1 free for megabass stacked with 20% off yesterday. Not sure if it is still active.
  7. Thoughts on the Gloomis?
  8. The ROF 5 is 2 oz which I have- Also planned on throwing a few lighter swim/glide baits as well. That is why I was leaning towards the MX-PRO 904C SWBR 7'6 1 1/2 - 3oz
  9. Need a swimbait rod for that?
  10. Can you throw a bit lighter on that rod? I would be interested in some cranks around 5/8
  11. It is the backyard on the lake. Not going to do anything to the shoreline- Have a few docks, ramps, small beach area and everywhere they love to do their business. Talking over well over 1000 piles when we clean (no lie). The other annoyance is it is getting time to replace the wood on the seawalls/docks and since they eat all the mullberries it stains if left on for a while. Probably going to go with the coyotes since we have quite a few up there. Hopefully it will help- Goosinator is next
  12. Not looking at getting over 2 oz but have been between the Dobyns Fury 735C ($110 ish)/ Dobyns Fury 795SB ($110ish)and GLOOMIS IMX PRo 905 SWBR($180ish). I will most likely be pairing it with a curado k and will most likely use for Swaver/Gatarell Jr/ Hudd 68 all around 2oz. I would like to use it for bigger crankbaits as well. Let me know if there is another rod that should go on my list to look for a deal on.
  13. This is for MI- But yes I would never want to harass them...
  14. Dealing with this the past 20 years and rigging up countless things in their way and watching the geese walk around the neighbors yard to get to our mulberry tree we have reached the last straw and the tree is going to go next. We wanted to try some decent decoys (we would move around). Dog works when we are there, screaming bottle rockets, and the golf cart work the best as of now. We get about 100 geese every day coming in for their food during spring/summer. This equates to a lot of poop for my little ones to see and make them not want to run around in the yard.
  15. Anybody have any luck with decoys to keep the geese away? If so, post away!
  16. It is such a difference IMO- I can buy 4 Rapala's to 1 Megabass and catch 1 for every 10 Or I can just invest in the lure and take good care of it Trust me I hated my life even saying that- As I only wanted 1 or 2. But the bait monkey said I only get a 25% off if I bought 4. Hopefully it will all COMBINE Friday!
  17. KTP has megabass buy 3 get the 4th free. Cart is not letting me Combine that with a HOLIDAY15 code and save 15% off 1 item. 4 jerkbaits for $74 isn't too bad. Hopefully going to wait until there is a sale and the 3 for 4 may overlap. Crossing my fingers!
  18. Spot lock has changed a ton for me. I only have the terrova but it seriously changed everything. Mine is a gen 1 so it is not friends with my fish finders but still is a beast of a motor.
  19. Compiling the wish list now to get ready for Black Friday/ Cyber Monday and wanted to make sure I didn't miss out on anything that I may have forgot. Feel free to put some of your list on here to make sure that we all are aware of what we might "need".
  20. A few weeks ago they had the transom bibs on sale for 159.97- I picked the bibs up at that price from Simm's. I know Simm's was cycling through their older models. Not sure if the challengers will go on sale like that but they probably will go cheaper than 20% off as I see that quite commonly from Simm's. Not sure what they normally do on BF/CM.
  21. I have used these and have had good success.
  22. I have caught the most fish in my life on the original banjo minnow. Only 1 fish on the helicopter though.
  23. I have a different rod for chatterbaits- so I do not run into this problem. Once I find the pattern I do tend to (not always) remove the fastach or crosslock and tie a loop knot after I have found what is working for me on any given day. Other times I just feel that the snap is perfectly fine and just retie as needed. I will say that with the snap I thought I wouldn't retie as much- which is true as I am cycling through baits but once I find the pattern I learned to retie more often as I have lost too many baits/quality fish to not warrant 16 inches of line.
  24. I love my Fastach and Pline crosslock snaps for all moving baits. Both save considerable amount of tying. There is already a snap on the chatterbait- so I don't use one there.
  25. Nice box- I went the cheap route and copied someone on here where they took the pieces of a spinnerbait box and glued/taped it into a 3700 box to fit into my boat. I love the versatility since I do not need that many with me (allegedly) at a given time.
