  1. That's one of my favorite ways to fish it. I use these: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/VMC_Ike_Approved_Weedless_Wacky_Hooks/descpage-VMCWW.html
  2. Yes, I rarely see worms swimming around in the lake but bass will eat them! Movement and shape allow for instinct to set in and EAT whatever they want. A shad profile would be no different.
  3. Thanks for adding! Especially the color!
  4. No sanding/cleaning necessary? I like that it will "match" the color a bit more
  5. Ressurecting an old thread topic- just not sure if things have changed in 7 years or so. Are things still the same with repairing pitted cork handles? 1. Tape off rod 2. lightly sand/remove chunks 3. exterior wood filler 4. dry 5. sand 6. fine sand 7. clean 8. reseal TIA
  6. Oval snaps will solve your line tie problem as that is a HUGE issue. https://www.ownerhooks.com/product/oval-split-ring/
  7. Usually they are great! A little different when a lot of people are calling in for the daily special (started at 12 PST and you had to call in to make the order) most colors sold out within 2hrs.
  8. Well now I am mad waited 43 mins on hold after 10 mins or so dialing... Then it seemed like someone picked up and then there was nothing there... They then hung up... Good thing I had 2 phones going.. Got them... Not the colors I was SUPER excited for tho
  9. Anyone else sitting on hold for almost an hour waiting for an operator? Needed something to do while I waited and wanted to see if anyone else was just as bored as me waiting for these blems 25 days sale at 12 pm pst... more like SIT ON HOLD and make me shop more!
  10. Just wondering. Where did you find what the hook was rated for?
  11. Megabass wins for me. Excited to get the 110 +1 jr this spring!
  12. I had a SUPER SANTA @j bab with his Big Bite Baits assortment! Most of this will be donated to the HS bass fishing team I coach to enjoy! (my 3 y/o son, is obsessed with the hat and the sticker may end up on a box) Thanks!!!
  13. I have found the same thing. Need to go lighter than expected but then its not really doing what I want down there. There a lot of better options to use for that application IMO.
  14. Kind of what I was getting at- is it worth it?
  15. I have heard some people do this but not really sure if its worth it but: Does anyone insure their tackle/electronics? Is it worth it to add to your boat? Just wanted to see if anyone on here does this/thought about it before.
  16. I'm having anxiety not seeing all of your hooks on a safety pin or hook holder... OH THE DRAMA! ?
  17. Not that I am aware of but they may be out there. An unopened original is on ebay for like 110 (LOL) At first it was a simple plastic minnow Then they added eyes Then Fat head Then the ribbed style Then whatever they are selling now. The reason I think I do so well on them is because of the size- its a 2.5-3" minnow that is thin and flat. Once it bends a little off it doesn't keep gliding like a caffeine shad or super fluke- It stops and goes straight down. I have fished tiny and regular zoom flukes using the same set up and have had success (just not as much as the banjo- not sure if the tail in the horizontal position changes anything from the fish's perspective). Just like anything there is a right tool for the job at different time and I have a lot of confidence in it, but still don't think it beats that worm!
  18. I am not ? Probably well over 1000 fish on this bait throughout the years. I have so many Ver 1 minnows still (version 2 were terrible) but I have since changed a few hardware things to my liking since I did not like their hooks.
  19. Same here but then I found Vision 110's and I no longer reach for shadow raps as much (unless I am by a lot of rock/wood)
  20. I was seriously debating even if I should write it on here lol... I have done so much better on a banjo then a fluke its insane. I would have to say Texas rig #1 though, banjo #2, and jerkbait/jig #3.
  21. I have the blachmon frontload as well... LOVE IT. I have had it 3/4 years I think NOTHING is wrong with it. Not even sagging out of the tops/bottom. The built in rain protector has saved it I think. The top I have 5 smaller cases in there to help somewhat organize it.
  22. I'm in this year! This has looked awesome in the past!
  23. Do you keep hudds in there? Their tails not being straight is my only concern about that.
  24. So I have finally put together a box that I had envisioned for my Swimbaits and am not 100% happy with it. Have went through a lot of different options and I settled on this but am looking for suggestions on how to "fix" my problem. I am looking for a way to keep the baits in place and not sliding down the string. Originally I wanted a barrel swivel with snap but the Hudd's are too long and the tail hits the bottom (bent) and I do not want that. I am looking for ways to keep the baits accessible and in their place. Thought I would reach out as I am coming up with few ideas. *** Right now my best thought is to dip the back of a snap in liquid rubber and once hardened thread the wire through the back of the snap and leave the snap open at all times.
  25. Well a tough few fishing days for me. Ended up with way too many follows (with few strikes) on reaction baits and only really got into a groove flipping/pitching after the storm last night.
