Native vs. Introduced Species
I dunno - I found them pretty good eating when I lived up in Bemidji...even my mom liked them and specifically asked if I could catch a few. Dad and my sister don't do fish....just like my wife (MINE....ALL MINE!)

Will you southern boys take your weather back...please.
Andy - it gets much above 80 and I reduce my activity - above 85 and I stay in AC...I don't do well in heat.

Will you southern boys take your weather back...please.
From NWS: "MSP has the chance to break a record high temperature of 87 degrees for October 1st. This record dates back to 1897. " This is getting Riddikulus.

FG when I'm pre-tying leaders at home before heading out Alberto if I have to replace a leader on the water. Haven't had either fail when tied correctly.

Lews Speed Spool SLP CP1SH
Below a certain price point, centrifugal brakes are rare. Of my 12 casting reels, only my 2 Patriarchs and my one Supreme XT have centrifugals (the Patriarchs are dual braking, Cent and Mag) My President XT, Supreme, Daiwa CA-80, both Fuegos, my Tatula CT and all three of my Tatula 100s are magnetic brake only.

question about this forum. why do some of my post need to be vetted first?
Dude, I still get it now and then with 13k+ posts...I think it runs on a random number generator.

Native vs. Introduced Species
At least Brook, Cuthroat, and Rainbows are native to North America - Browns were brought over from Europe so can be considered an 'invasive species'. They are more aggressive than the others and have a habit of taking over streams from the other species.

Favorite Fluoro
InvizX is my primary FC Yo-Zuri Topknot isn't too shabby either - though that's primarily used as leader on spinning rigs. Pleasantly surprised with BasiX - got it on two reels and so far it's performed well. ^ Like my good pal - Tatsu is great....if you got the budget for it...my one reel of it was supplied by a gifting.

Trolling Motor Battery Location
I'll charge them up just before removal...then once again about halfway through winter...then a full charge after re-install in the spring.

Trolling Motor Battery Location
I bring my AGMs into the basement in the winter - it can get to -10 in my garage - and they're more 'problematical' than LiFePo4s in that situation. Just don't let them sit on concrete....put a couple blocks of wood up and put them on those.

David McCallum dead at 90
From U.N.C.L.E. agent Illya Kuryakin To Medical Examiner 'Ducky' Mallard Singing on albums and voicing for animated series - including as Alfred Pennyworth in several direct to video Batman releases - are just a few of the things he did during his career. David McCallum had a career that spanned 62 years... labeled 'A gentleman and a scholar' by many who worked with him. Goodbye David.

I've seen him occasionally...seems a bit shy to me.

Trolling Motor Battery Location
That's why a good BMS is necessary - it'll regulate the charging rate based on temperature to at least reduce if not eliminate damage concerns.

Amazing sight
Well, doesn't your 'ultimate' employer have their hands in every little aspect of people's lives? Kinda fits.

Your favorite fishing sounds
The call of a Loon echoing across the water.

Trolling Motor Battery Location
Prices are dropping fast - their 100ah LiFePo4 battery is now down to $300

Trolling Motor Battery Location
Never-ever put a Lithium-Ion in a boat - those are the ones that have all the fires Go with a LiFePo4 - much safer and more stable.

Was that Waypoint per chance, Chris? I've stopped in - it's about a mile from my place...pretty decent selection overall.

Steering Cables Uneven - Minn Kota Edge 70 w Foot Pedal
I had this issue with my Edge-45 along with the direction indicator being 'off'. I dismounted it from the boat, mounted it to my workbench in the shop...then tore it down (according to MinnKota's manual) and worked on it until A - The direction indicator lined up with the prop B - The cables were even with the direction slightly left of center - this lets me turn it to 180 degrees and 'back up' straight C - Just enough tension to hold it in place without me needing to put a lot of force on it to steer. It's a trial by error process and having it on the workbench made it so much easier to work on it rather than leaving it on the boat.

NOAA - the best feature for me as a bass fisherman.
That's what my dad told me many-many moons ago - and his job in the Navy in the early-mid 50s was....wait for it...meteorologist.

BFS ?
It's more the rod than the reel overall. BFS reel/Normal rod...so-so perfomance, normal reel/BFS rod...better perfomance, BFS reel/BFS rod...best performance. I just stick with spinning and call it a day.
