  1. Ya - forgot it once this past year...didn't even have it off the trailer when the auto-bilge started shooting water out the port side...pulled it out, let it drain then put the plug in.
  2. NOCO Genius GEN 5x2. Handles Flooded, AGM and Lithium (I'm running AGMs at present) Plug it in end of the day and forget it until I go out again - works as a maintainer. This is the second year with it...so far all good.
  3. Only place I use cash anymore is the laundromat - which they have signs on the machines saying "Credit/Debit cards accepted soon".
  4. Seviin has their own site - the spinning reels are available there. https://seviinreels.com/
  5. I've got three reels that sit on a shelf in the 'man cave'. All are old - purchased in the 70s and early 80s. Pflueger 640 Cardinal 562 Ambassadeur 500R All served me well until I started upgrading in 2015
  6. It's a fuse that goes between the battery and the unit on the positive wire It can either be an old-style glass fuse Or the plastic 'square' like you use in your car
  7. Fury 705CB makes a great spinner/chatter rod.
  8. ^ What Brian said....my flipping rig just finished year 4 with the same 50# 832
  9. Couple days ago that was our low - you should see a warming in the next day or so. This morning here it was 33, warmed up to 52 and almost all the snow we got is already gone.
  10. Personally - I think both should be dinged. The angler for not being up on local regulations, and the organizer for not making sure the anglers know the local laws. "Ignorance of the law is no excuse."
  11. My question is - is your wife already prepping for this snow season?
  12. Andy - you're blowing our cover here....
  13. Tonka has about 10-12 bass tournaments a season - that's one tournament every week-and-a-half from May (season opener) through September (it gets a bit chilly after that). Going back through results (DNR keeps track) the average bag and big fish really hasn't changed much in the last 10-15 years. And we've had big tournaments too - remember BASS Top 100 back in the 80s and 90s? One leg was on Tonka...and they set a couple trail records here. A yearly tournament here that draws names is Denny's Super 30 - Dean and Ted Capra (Of Capra's Sporting Goods) are in the top 10 all time money makers in that one...and this local guy name of Seth Feider is #3 on the list. Bassin is still good on the lake as shown by ones pictured by @gimruis, @Deephaven and myself.
  14. ^ Ditto the Navionics - the overlays with the subscription are well worth the cost. Note that the subscription allows use on 2 devices at a time...I use it on my phone when I'm at the main motor (I have a 25hp tiller) and my tablet up front.
  15. That setting is for old-fashioned flooded batteries....you really have a good chance of damaging AGM/Lithiums if you use that.
  16. That's the exact model I put in Bass Trek from the get-go.
  17. The charger to upgrade to.
  18. SLA and Lithiums use different internal settings for charging. I'd set the charger to AGM when connected to the SLA, while setting it to Lithium when charging the Lithium battery to prevent damage.
  19. Now if we can just disband the Hair Police.
  20. How much mainline you putting on? I run 50# 832 on a Daiwa CA-80 (compact spool) and even with 70yds of mainline, I can get a good amount of 10# Big Game backing on the reel. Really, you only need a layer or two of backing if you want more mainline...tying braid directly to the spool without anchoring it somehow (mono backing, tie through the holes, piece of tape, etc) is asking for slippage, and if the slippage is bad enough, you could have the drag cranked down all the way and a decent fish will still strip line off the reel.
  21. I don't have a Jig box - but what I'd do is label the cover over the jigs. Myself - I use plain Pro-Latch 3700s and 3701s for my lures, then a Brother P-Touch label-maker.
  22. Gotta remember that most times - what weight is printed on the package is JUST for the head...add in the hook and skirt and a 3/16oz jig might actually be a little more that 1/4oz total...then add the trailer and it's definitely over that 1/4oz mark.
  23. Like Mr River - I label all my boxes. General lure type on the outside, specifics on the back wall of each compartment - Manufacturer, Model, Weight, Hook size - ya, I keep my Strike Kings separate from my Siebert's even if they're both 3/8oz Swim Jigs. Boxes are labeled on one end for Bass Trek's storage compartments, and on the latch edge if I'm shore fishing and they're in my bag.
  24. Ditto above - My cover is pretty tight and I could probably trailer it to local lakes, but I wouldn't want to have it on for far trips. Saying that - the cover is only on when the boat is parked in the back yard during open-water season...boat without cover is stored in my garage when
  25. MN, NE, MA, RI, ME, VT, NH, FL (pier fishing) Lived in the first four, vacationed in the second four - I know, I'm boring. 🙄
