  1. That's what ad blockers are for - except BR now has a little popup if you're running one that nags you about it.... And yes, I've seen 'sex' ads here....and I don't visit sex sites, so it's random.
  2. I know what you mean - when I was going through my 'ancient' lures, one of the things I had in the box was a Lazy Ike I'd had since the 70s...never caught a thing on it, so it got tossed.
  3. My biggest this year came on a wacky rig, 5" Yama Senko in Green Pumpkin/Black Flake.
  4. Ya - Crappie love an X-Rap 04
  5. Fast....slow....I think the speed has more to do with the backbone and your particular ISP than anything else. If your internet is provided by a cable company (like Mediacom), then the number of people in your neighborhood actively using the internet will affect your speed as you're all sharing a mainline.

  7. And the tail-pipe afterburner need checking
  8. Ya - I have a CA80 XS on my pitching rig...good reel. Shipped from Amazon JP, but found on Amazon US site. https://www.amazon.com/Daiwa-Bait-Right-Handle-Model/dp/B07MJZXQK1?th=1 And - another day, another delivery. Between the sale price, a gift card and points, I paid $80 for this new.
  9. Same in MN - only lake I know of that has no-fishing at night right now is Mille Lacs...and that's a special this year that they'd have to re-up next year. Far as ramps - from the DNR... "Public water accesses are open 24 hours a day unless posted otherwise. They are available for both trailer and carry-in. 12-18 foot boats can be launched at most launch ramps; some can handle larger boats. There are no launch fees, unless the access is located within a park requiring a vehicle permit."
  10. You can get 100 packs of Yum Dingers. Also a 100 pack of assorted colors of Christie Claws
  11. Here's something that'll blow your mind Queen's Guitarist Brian May? He has a PhD in Astrophysics. He was also one of the 'Science Team Collaborators' on the New Horizons probe of Pluto.
  12. Starting today through 11/25 - Lowrance Hook Reveal 9 TripleShot is $200 off at Fleet Farm (see sale price in cart) https://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/lowrance-hook-reveal-9-tripleshot-w-chirp-sidescan-downscan-us-inland-charts/0000000390013?Ntt=101714331&_requestid=1073790
  13. Spend a little extra - get the Tatula 100. Other than the T-Wing, the Tatula CT is identical to the Fuego CT...same frame, spool, main gear, brakes.
  14. A sad day indeed - I always found him informative and personable...he will be missed here. Warm thoughts to his family in this sad time.
  15. Are we ready? 7-day forecast has this gem Tuesday Partly sunny, with a high near 36. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Tuesday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Blustery, with a northwest wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Wednesday Partly sunny, with a high near 26. Blustery, with a west northwest wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
  16. @gimruis - should we car-pool...we can take my truck, lots more capacity than your 'toy'.
  17. And this arrived today from Amazon.jp - from the specs, it's basically a re-vamped CA-80 (aluminum frame, Magforce brakes (no - not the Z))..got it on special for $60
  18. I don't even bother looking anymore - I can get better selection and prices elsewhere.
  19. (Looks at the price - hears his wallet scream for mercy)
  20. Another issue is they concentrate on the 'Yuppie Sports-people' - 60 page 8.5" x 10" 'catalogue'...and half of it is clothing. Of course, clothing accounts for 60%+ of the store too....
  21. Scheels sale flyer just arrived - not much for fishing but there's a few deals Fuego LT spinning reels and Fenwick HMX rods (both types) are 50% off Helix 9 and 10 are $600 off For the Ice-guys Echomap 93SV ice bundle is $900 off
  22. I was talking in general about the full electrics - Teslas, Honda Prologue, Chevy Bolt, etc
  23. Except where is that electric power to charge the EV coming from? They're actually tearing down dams Solar and Wind aren't anywhere near capacity - people don't want that 'eyesore' in their backyard Geothermal hasn't been developed The 'No-Nukes' crowd makes that a non-starter - (Put one in my backyard, I'd love it) So that means burning MORE fossil fuel to generate the electricity. And given the inefficiency of generation and transmission - you're actually putting MORE carbon in the air running that EV than if you just got a decent MPG 'gas guzzler'.
  24. I found that Ziplocs and standard Poly bags 'sweat' after a while...so I just buy the same laminated bags the bait companies use. https://baitplastics.com/product/bait-bags/
