  1. Ya - jeez - bullheads fight harder than walleyes...
  2. Project complete - and tested Pump can self-prime to 6' deep...so filled a 5-gallon bucket, temp-replaced the screen on the intake with a hose...just about sucked that bucket dry. So 'finally' I have a fully functional live-well.
  3. Ned Rig to the rescue? I've spent the morning double checking the motor - still runs fine at full rev...even rocking it doesn't affect it. Also installing a new LW fill pump. The impeller driven ones just aren't doing the job, so got a self-priming diaphragm pump. Got it mounted, now just have to hook up the electrical and plumbling.
  4. Ya, but you sold yours, Paul...
  5. @A-Jay is our Lund Pro V expert - he's been riding one for years now..
  6. I'm with DB - FG is my 'night before prep' knot...when I have time and I'm standing on a stable surface. If I have to re-tie a leader on the water, it's an Alberto.
  7. That one and Sheet's Chartreuse Shad are probably my two main-stays.
  8. Ya, I wouldn't use WD-40 anywhere near lures/line as it's main component is Petroleum Distilates - in other words, once they've gotten gas, oil and diesel from crude oil, WD-40s base is extracted from the leftovers. Come on - it's MSDS has these warnings. 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES http://complyplus.grainger.com/grainger/images/MSDSText_Top.gif INGESTION (SWALLOWED): ASPIRATION HAZARD. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. CALL PHYSICIAN, POISON CONTROL CENTER OR THE WD-40 SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-324-7596 IMMEDIATELY. EYE CONTACT: FLUSH THOROUGHLY WITH WATER. REMOVE CONTACT LENSES IF PRESENT AFTER THE FIRST 5 MINUTES AND CONTINUE FLUSHING FOR SEVERAL MORE MINUTES. GET MEDICAL ATTENTION IF IRRITATION PERSISTS. SKIN CONTACT: WASH WITH SOAP AND WATER. IF IRRITATION DEVELOPS AND PERSISTS, GET MEDICAL ATTENTION. INHALATION (BREATHING): IF IRRITATION IS EXPERIENCED, MOVE TO FRESH AIR. GET MEDICAL ATTENTION IF IRRITATION OR OTHER SYMPTOMS DEVELOP AND PERSIST. SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE: HARMFUL OR FATAL IF SWALLOWED. ASPIRATION OF LIQUID INTO THE LUNGS DURING SWALLOWING OR VOMITING MAY CAUSE LUNG DAMAGE. MAY CAUSE EYE AND RESPIRATORY IRRITATION. INHALATION OF MISTS OR VAPORS MAY CAUSE DROWSINESS, DIZZINESS AND OTHER NERVOUS SYSTEM EFFECTS. SKIN CONTACT MAY CAUSE DRYING OF THE SKIN. INDICATION OF IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION/SPECIAL TREATMENT NEEDED: IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION IS NEEDED FOR INGESTION. Would you feed this to your kid? Why feed it to bass?
  9. The 1973 that I have uses 50:1 - so a leaner mix.
  10. Ya, but I could start her up on the lake within seconds. She dies, I put her in neutral, start her up just fine...just when I cranked her up after putting into forward that she died...before I even really started moving. Define 'intermittently' - new gas/oil 4 weeks ago, out 3 weeks ago with no problem...and yes, I used Sta-Bil. I don't leave gas in - when the season ended last fall, what remained in the boat-tank went into my truck.
  11. That's what's got me shaking my head. Submerged the lower unit in a bin of water to cover the intake, start her up, crank her up...no problems. Shift her into reverse, rev her up...no problems...go into forward, rev her up...no problems. I just stared at the motor thinking, 'Only on the lake, eh...you trying to ruin my fishing time!' So, no idea what happened on Tuesday. It'll be a couple weeks before I try again - next week is the guided trip the wife got me for Yule.
  12. Zoom, Berkley, Eco-Pro, Missile, Strike King, GYCB, Mr Twister.
  13. Only thing it might do is affect the light level - so basically treat it like a partly-cloudy day.
  14. Peel off best you can - plastic putty knife and Goo Gone...clean up with alcohol That's how I took off the numbers, State sticker and original Alumacraft Decal from the Bass Trek anyway.
  15. Fixed that for you "CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (October 22, 2021) — FourBridges Capital announced today that Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits, Inc. (Yamamoto) has been sold to GSM, Inc., a portfolio company of GridIron Capital. FourBridges structured and negotiated the deal on behalf of Yamamoto."
  16. That tape is the bomb - couple places I worked building machines, we used the VHB tape to secure items. It pretty much ignores heat and liquid. Stratasys: 3-D commercial printers - high heat, we used VHB to secure the glass doors to the hinges. Infinity Precision Systems: heated solvent/ultrasonic small parts cleaners (Seagate was one of our customers - they'd use the machines we built to clean parts for Hard Drives before assembly) - we used VHB to secure panels inside the machines. Tape failure in those machines was very rare - I'd trust it for this application, no question.
  17. Dunno - haven't tried Defier...been happy with Siege.
  18. I did a couple contests ago Clear everything from your browser (Cache, Cookies, Site Settings, Offline Data...the works). That reset mine so I didn't have the Captcha anymore.
  19. Limper - doesn't 'jump' off the reel like BG and doesn't have all those coils when casting out.

One man who landed on Juno Beach later became famous for something else. During the night after the landing, he took 6 rounds from a machine gun...four to the leg, one to the chest that was stopped by his cigarette case, and one that took off the middle finger of his right hand...in his later career, he did what he could to hide that, but occasionally it did show. The man was Lt. James Doohan - also known as Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott of the USS Enterprise. https://allthatsinteresting.com/james-doohan Oh, and it was 'friendly fire'...a nervous sentry from his own unit.
  21. Only thing I use Big Game for is cheap backing on my casting reels. If I'm going with a mono - then it's Siege.
  22. did you make sure to include the model - Lifetime sells several different lines of kayaks
  23. Smart lady Anytime I have a question like this - my first stop is the manufacturer...if they don't have a definitive answer, that's when I pop into forums to ask.
  24. I'd contact the manufacturer customercare@lifetime.com
