  1. My only complaint is that they're out of reach of the average angler...I mean one of these setups cost more than it took me to build and outfit 'Bass Trek'. Based on my yearly budget, I'd have to spend nothing on fishing for almost 3 years to get one.
  2. Not to mention that trying to find that one lure you want will look a little weird to someone else.
  3. The '53 version or the disaster that was the 2005 version?
  4. I just keep the spare for the trailer in the bed of the pickup...
  5. Is this the dawn of Soylent Green?
  6. They're up here...kind of Out in the canoe a few years back when a kayak pulls up and the gal in it asks me the time. I check my phone and tell here, and she paddles off If her microkini had more than 3 square inches of cloth I'd be surprised...and she twernt a skinny gal either.
  7. Now I know - never been fishing in that part of the metro. It was always Richfield/Bloomington when I lived down there - now it's Tonka and environs.
  8. Latest report Spoon by 36 & 61 in Little Canada has made the grade - shows a boat ramp, so boats should be fine. So has Taft by 62 & 77 in Richfield Many, many years ago I use to shore-fish Taft, back when I lived in Richfield. Just remember - it's panfish only for another month+
  9. Soon as the aluminum plate I ordered gets in....the clamp on motor wants at least 1.5" of thickness to clamp to...the jack-plate is only 1/2" thick So, I need to bolt a plate to the jack-plate to 'thicken' it enough so that the clamps on the motor can tighten down to hold it.
  10. Just some finishing work left as open-water isn't too far off First up...named the boat. As not only a bass fisherman but also a trekkie for over 50 years, my decision was 'logical'.
  11. I've got Victory and Mojo Bass rods in my arsenal. I think the Victory is a little more sensitive, and it is a bit lighter...but for around $50 less, the Mojo is definitely a worthwhile consideration. The Mojo 7'1" MH/F would be a fair stand-in for The Marshall.
  12. Gonna take a bit here - yesterday when I ran out for an errand, saw only a bit of melting along the shorelines.
  13. Despite some cooler weather later in the week, I think we can put this thread to bed
  14. Not so much here - some water around the shorelines, but not enough to even tempt trying for panfish.
  15. Here's the form you fill out and the instructions https://fish.shimano.com/content/dam/shimanosnaffish/pdf/Rod_Warranty_Form U.S..pdf
  16. Use to be a sticky at the top of the topic list - missing for me too.
  17. There's a few vendors on Amazon who ship properly. I've bought rods on Amazon that were 'Sold and Shipped by Evike' - and they came in tubes. Unless it's sold and shipped by a tackle shop, I won't purchase rods from Amazon.
  18. Tonka is still socked in - some melting along the shore, but if you cast more than 5yds, you'll end up on ice.
  19. I've got a 1000 on a 7'6" UL Celilo rod...great for tossing light lures like 1/32oz jigs with micro plastics. One of my crappie rigs.
  20. Wasn't much better here, man I bought my place in 1986 - even with a VA loan, best interest I could get was 12.5% Of course I re-financed soon as the rates dropped enough.
  21. I'm gonna have to remember that in case I run across one of these Bozos....haven't yet, but you never know.
  22. I think you meant Ancestor - you're the descendant of Mr. Schofield.
  23. I keep mine in G-Drive - that way it's accessible to all my devices.
  24. Probably cause there aren't workers to be had. Current Unemployment rate is 3.5% - same it was in Feb of 2020 before Covid messed everything up. In the past 20 years - next lowest rate was 4.4% back in March of 2007 https://www.bls.gov/charts/employment-situation/civilian-unemployment-rate.htm
