And the idiocy increases. Just came back from a quick errand - and people are actually driving their cars out onto Black Lake. Just waiting for the first one to drop through at this point...

If you're looking to add another sonar later - go with the 25ah.

MLF Team Series
Dude, I've been seeing open and tent anglers on the smaller lakes of the Minnetonka chain since mid-month. Yesterday, I saw that someone already has a perm-shelter up on Cooks Bay. I'd say more than just 'borderline'...these people are frickin' insane.

What section of lake to fish?
Reminds me of a vacation back before I was even a teen. Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, I was snorkeling not far from shore, came around a fairly decent size rock - and was face-to-face with a good size bass.

And season-long story arcs? I don't understand? Having grown up on the original (started watching in 1966 - first airing of 'Balance of Terror'), SNW feels like Trek...great homage to the original.

They're pre-loaded with a glue on back. Peel of from backing and apply...so no need to carry separate glue. Designed specifically for lures - so no worries there.

Dude - I'm running a Garmin Striker cause that's the best I could afford. Actually - the deeper you go, the colder it gets...long as the water is above 39 degrees, the warmer it is, the higher in the column it is...so your warmest water is on the surface.

Know what the temp of your fishing spot is...like down where the lure is running? Water temperature will affect the characteristics of suspending lures. The colder the water, the more dense it is, and the lure will rise slowly. The suspending balance is tuned to a specific water temp...could be 45, could be 55. Also, the deeper you run it, the denser the water - so if it's tuned for 55 degrees at 4' - running in 45 degree water at 6' is going make it want to rise.

You get to retire/move to your Bass fishing dream lake/river.......what lake/river are you picking?
As smart as you are, I knew you had to marry someone just as smart. St. Kates is a good school...my sister got her Masters of Library Sciences there.

You get to retire/move to your Bass fishing dream lake/river.......what lake/river are you picking?
I moved from New England (MA, RI) when I was 14 - that's the transplantee part.

Transplantee when I was 14 - but that's almost 50 years ago (can I be a native now?) I'm already retired and staying put - though if I had the money, Lake George or LaPorte area (between Walker and Park Rapids) would be my pick.

$25 for resident fishing license, $10 for a trout-stamp. Considering our lack of ramp fees, the availability of public ramps and the conservation efforts the DNR puts forth - I think it's a bargain. Ours is March 1 to Feb 28 (29) following year. All fees collected on behalf of the DNR go to the DNR - also when they brought the lottery here, by constitutional amendment a percentage of the states share goes to the DNR.
