  1. Ya, it's simple math to calculate Empty spool diameter * 3.14 * gear ratio = IPT empty Full spool diameter * 3.14 * gear ratio = IPT full (which should be darn close to the published IPT.)
  2. I've never used different - same Abu grease and oil on my BCs and Spinners. Haven't had issues yet.
  3. Ya, the amount of lures/baits that @A-Jayloads in the Pro-V might swamp my canoe.
  4. The IPT rating printed/published is for a full spool. The lower the line gets on your spool, the less IPT you have during retrieve. That can decrease by 10%-20%...40% depending on how low on line your spool is.
  5. Glad to help, pal. Those of us with limited storage space have to get creative.
  6. ^ What he said. 90% of what they're gonna put on sale is their own label stuff. The rest, the 'sale price' will just bring it down to what you can get it for someplace else without a sale now. Only things I get from Cabelas/BPS anymore are the BPS-370 boxes - I like them better than the Plano-3700s.
  7. I got labels on the latch-edge as well. The 3700s go in the bags that way too, and the 7th 3600 box of each set goes latch-edge up in the front pocket of either Advanced Angler II bags (1 Cabelas, 1 BPS) I got them edge up with metal book-ends keeping them that way. Easier to take a single box out without having to move others from on top of it.
  8. I've got limited space, but do the best I can Top row is 3607-open compartments. Plastics in original bags sorted by type Second row is the mix of boxes I posted a couple up. Panfish box (3620) far left, misc items far right. Drawer units are Sterilite mediums. Left unit has mono/hybrid top drawer, braid/FC second drawer, misc storage third drawer. Right unit has canoe BC reels, canoe spinning reels and shore/spare reels in the bottom drawer. Below that is general storage - Sterilite drawer unit has camera accessories in the top drawer, misc items in the other two. Next to that (hidden by the braid/FC drawer) are 6qt Sterilite boxes. One hold duplicate lures/plastics, another holds my buffs, gloves, and boat towels. The space left of the wood shelving unit and behind the plastic shelving unit on the left is where I have my rods standing up. Top of the plastic shelving unit is where my tackle bags sit during the winter.
  9. That I have in my inventory? SK Tour Grade Swim Jig - 1/4oz Bluegill - 3.5" RI Little Dipper, Shiner or SK Tour Grade Swim Jig - 3/8oz Black/Blue - 4" Berkley Pit Boss, Perfection Blue Fleck
  10. I'm sticking with the original prediction I made way back beginning of December - April 12.
  11. If given a choice, always go with Nickle or Black Nickle.
  12. I didn't know he was visiting Texas...
  13. Lithium - ya, you can drain them almost to the bone. AGM - I wouldn't take it lower than 35% Old fashioned Lead-Acid - never below half-charge.
  14. I've already started spooling up - well, backing and braid rigs anyway. Just think though...only 2 months to open water and panfish (scampers away)
  15. That worked...switch not thrown or something?
  16. Is that Nessy or did you get a shot of Champy?
  17. Boxes set-up for this year BPS-370 - Teminal - I like that this one can divide down more than the Plano 3700, makes nice 'small' compartments for weights and hooks that really don't take up much room and would rattle severely in the larger 3700 compartments. Also lets me store more items per box that way since I don't like mixing things together. BPS-370 - DT's and Squarebills - these are bulkier than the rest of my cranks, so needed the deeper box. BPS-370 - Chatterbaits and Soft Swimbaits - Don't have many chatters either, so they take up about 1/3 of the box. Rest is given over to things like Storm GT-360 and other 'dedicated' SB heads as well as the 'dedicated' plastics. My springlock hooks, weighted and unweighted, are also in here for general SSB usage. Plano Elite 3707-05 - I don't have a huge selection of spinners and buzzbaits, everything I have fits in this with some slots still open for expansion Plano 3701 - Everything else goes in these. Rest of my cranks (2 boxes), all my jerks (2 boxes), jigs, frogs/poppers, spooks/ploppers (1 box each). I can store all the boxes in my BPS Extreme Qualifier and the Plano B-Series 3700
  18. Exactly and I reiterate - use the rod, not the reel to pull the fish in.
  19. 5" Senko or equivalent? 1: I always use an O-Ring 2a: Non-weedless - Owner SSW in #1 https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_SSW_Needle_Point_Hooks/descpage-OSSH.html 2b: Weedless - Owner Jungle Wacky Weedless in #1 https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_Jungle_Wacky_Weedless_Hook_4pk/descpage-OOJWE.html Note that those two are also the hook types I use for drop-shot, neko, etc...pretty much all my finesse work. I have a few different sizes for different size baits.
  20. @Glenn - which is correct in this image. You can enter once per day, or only one entry period? Tried putting a second entry in, and this is what showed up.
  21. I big pickerel might take it - they rarely get that big though. I've had a pike bite off lipless and it was probably big enough to take a spinner. Bowfin is out of focus, but ya, they can take just about any lure when they get bigger - nasty teeth on those.
  22. I do tie the knot over instead of under and have never had cross-over. Hasn't failed me whether it's on 6# mono, 12# YZH or 50# braid - the key is to do more wraps the thicker the line is, and braid gets even more. Do a search on it - this pic only shows part of the whole - and it'll give you the entire knot start to finish. One of these days I'm gonna film myself doing the knot and post it...need a 'round tuit'.
  23. Except for when I snell a hook - the 'Multifile-Knoten' is the one I use.
  24. I wouldn't try for a 'long-bomb' cast, but ya, the 705 should be able to handle a 1/2oz as well.
