Crankbait Storage
I just use a Prolatch 3700 box, Owner Treble Safety Caps on the hooks, each style has it's own compartment. Might need 2 boxes for 50 of them

Fishing gear you think is worth the price, or not..?
No matter what you pay for it...a working PFD is priceless. AS LONG AS YOU WEAR IT Otherwise it's worthless.

Yet another reason to want to move from Illinois
Minnesota - it was $68.50 for my trailer - lifetime license. This is for any 'utility' trailer (boat trailers are included) rated for under 3000 lbs.

Fishing gear you think is worth the price, or not..?
Yo-Zuri Hybrid - I'm using this on 4 of my rigs this year. Strong, very manageable with KVD and very affordable. Diawa Aird-X rods - If you need Fast action, these are WAY undervalued. I just wish they came in Mod or Mod-Fast as well.

Fishing or Watching BPT/MLF today?
MDJ takes the bye and Mr. Martens hangs on to get into the Knockout Round.

Braid on crankbait rod?
Crankbaits - YZH. 12# on the BC for most of them, 10# on the spinner for shallow/lipless.

Fishing or Watching BPT/MLF today?
We still got VERY hard water here - people are still going out on it with ATVs and such...another few weeks before I can get the canoe on the water. BUT I check in now and then just to glance at the leader board - I have other things to do around the house so can't get caught up in it.

How many Panfish can this hold?
Minnesota it gets a little worse. You can't dispose of unused minnows into any body of water. You have to toss them in the trash. Even if the minnows were caught in that very same lake/pond! Once they're in your 'minnow bucket' or livewell, they're now considered 'contaminated' and have to go into the trash.

Finesse Line Question
I don't even go to braid. 8# Suffix Elite in Hi-Vis Yellow for my DS rig/backup Ned rig for sight monitoring. My primary Ned rod has 4# YZH, and I just keep a finger on it to feel.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Y'all makin' me jealous. Not only is Minnetonka still socked in - I can't even legally target bass for another 2 months.

One line and no leader what’s your choice
^ Yep, yep, yep. I use it on BCs and Spinners without a leader. HOWEVER I would get some KVD L&L Conditioner and apply it - makes YZH even better.

How many Panfish can this hold?
Just gotta worry about THIS bit - just above where you found the 'frozen, processed, etc' part. "It is illegal on New York State waters to possess walleye, black bass, brook trout, lake trout or Atlantic salmon that have been cut, dismembered, filleted, skinned or otherwise altered so that the species and total length of such fish cannot be easily determined. However, these fish may be gilled or gutted. Other species of fish may be filleted provided that the skin is not removed from the fillets. This regulation allows more effective enforcement of harvest regulations on protected game fish."

The Elephant in the Room...Coronavirus!!!
Latest insanity. Friend of mine is a Physician's Assistant at one of the major hospitals here. So many 'civilians' are buying up face masks that the hospitals are running low. So the ones who NEED them - the health care professionals - aren't able to get them. Also she told me that unless it's rated M3 or higher...it's useless against this. So those M1 and M2 masks you paid all that money for? Should have bought liquor instead.

Escaped a stiff fine.
Nice enforcement officer - ours are stickler for the rules. Minnesota runs March 1-February 28/29...basically the license expires when bass/walleye/northern season ends.

The Elephant in the Room...Coronavirus!!!
Wife shared this with me - from a Facebook thread. The morons are strong there.

Looks more like a Wally World or Sam's Club to me...on a normal day.

The Elephant in the Room...Coronavirus!!!
Can't blame me for a change - unless I personally know those 10 here.

Kayak fishing in pool 2 Mississippi river
Closer look after a PM, and Pool 2 IS open year round for C&R. Hey @FryDog62 , @gimruis - how much you guys know about the bass fishing in Pool 2?
-
Kayak fishing in pool 2 Mississippi river
On the river south of the Prescott Bridge, or the St. Croix River in the Hastings/Prescott area and north to maybe Lake St Croix in Hudson would be the closest to you. Everything else in the area is closed to Bass until May 9.

Kayak fishing in pool 2 Mississippi river
He's up by me - Pool 2 is the stretch between the Ford Dam in Minneapolis and the dam at Hastings. I'm not familiar with it though - so that's all the help I can give. Just pay attention to where you are if you're going after Bass - not all that stretch is considered 'Border Water' with Wisconsin. North of the Prescott Bridge is considered 'Inland Water' and the season doesn't open until May 9. Page 63: https://files.dnr.state.mn.us/rlp/regulations/fishing/fishing_regs.pdf
