Help me pick a casting reel
I personally throw the unmentionable brand of reels and flat enjoy them. I was a Lew's guy and had a couple revo's, but I'm sold on the concept line... 22lbs of drag, and throws smooth as silk!

Soft Plastic Swimbaits
Thanks everyone, there's some great suggestions here! I can already see the tackle warehouse bill getting longer!

Soft Plastic Swimbaits
I have plenty of trailers, I'm just looking for Swimbaits. How weedless/stumpless are actual jig heads? In open water I'd like to use a jighead with exposed hook, but far as weedless I know my options are limited. Man I'm excited to get back on the water and get my swimbait game on! I was able to fish multiple depths, very versatile bait, skid across pads, drop into coontail and drag through stumps all in one cast!

Soft Plastic Swimbaits
Everybody mentions keitechs, so I figure there's got to be something to them. The rage swimmers worked good seemed somewhat durable. What size is most people's favorite, the 4.75" seemed like a good all round size to me?

Strike King SHIM E STICK
I've been throwing cinnamon blue/purple flake, I really like em. They've been catching fish for me so I'm gonna keep using them. $2.50 to catch fish!? Yes please... Yeah temps are supposed to get on down in a couple days been 80 high 60 low. No rain for us been dry

Soft Plastic Swimbaits
Today was my first time using soft plastic Swimbaits. I was using a 4.75" rage swimmer on a 5/0 ewg trokar, with a small split shot at the nose. I was fishing around Lily pads and through coontail in tannic water. Beings it was my first time I kinda just used a slow reel with a pause technique. I had it rigged weedless but man I had some huge bites. Missed several nice bass. I really enjoyed fishing them and want to do it more. My setup was a ***** reel with a MH/fast dobyns 6'6. I have a 7'3 H duckett I'm gonna use next time 2 questions, what's the best Swimbaits? The rage swimmers worked great, but is there better? And what hooks do most of y'all use? I usually fish around alot of wood/stumps/grass so weedless is probably a must. I'm interested to hear more about the swimbait game!

Favorite Jerkbait/Hardbait Hooks?
Your on the right track, I like a size 6 mustad with a rear feather treble as well. My problem was bending out and and breaking trebles. Nothing will make you more angry when the bite is hot and you have to sit down and change out bent/broke trebles...

2019 BASS Elites
Rootin for Micah Frasier, only Ga boy on there!!

Keep getting skunked...
And don't get discouraged, we all go through lulls where we can't get the skunk off our back! Just be patient and persistent! I went twice couple months ago and fished all day without so much as a bite. It's tough sometimes

Am I the only one who likes winter fishing?
When my reel and rod guides get ice caught in them. @J.Vincent good read!!

Am I the only one who likes winter fishing?
I like winter fishing, hate being cold. There lies the problem. South Ga I fish year round, I actually enjoy fall and winter the best despite the cold, most guys hunt around here, and fortunately for me, I don't. So I enjoy fresh unfished water more frequently. Plus the cold keeps most Sissy's off the water so again more fishable water. So I vote Yes, I do enjoy winter bass fishing ?

Does topwater not work in some ponds?
I find it sometimes I want to make the bass bite what I want to fish with. As an angler, it's our goal to give the bass what they want instead of what we want. So if they want jigs instead of topwater, well jigs it is. Maybe try to find a different pond or lake for a better topwater bite?

Soft plastic additive
I do like the theory of the bass holding on longer, it gives the angler a greater window to detect a sometimes subtle bite. But the cons; what if the bass don't like the flavor, like I don't like sardines and just spits the bait out instead of holding on to it? The whole "what if" theory! Thanks for the input guys it does give me things to chew on. Pun intended

Hearing Crickets!
I've fished in tenoroc several times, pit B had a huge shad population, literally have 100 fish days on topwater poppers all throughout the day. This was 10yrs ago though...

Crappies fishing from shore, possible?
My go to rig is 1/32nd jig head, grub body, under a small bobber. I like that weight best because I feel it's sinks just fast enough for specks. Also use the smallest bobber you can, I feel that plays into the action of the grub. -this is my crappie setup 90% of the time And congratulations on your catch! Get the grease hot!

*Something* had my lure
Since nobody has mentioned the elephant in the room, I'm just gonna state the obvious. It was a Manatee bro.

Gene Larew Biffle-O Lizard Discontinued?
Wow what a great idea inserting ear plugs foam into the belly!!! I am one of the few who still use a lizard. Flip them in the spring tight into cover. Bass hate em. I use zoom so I'm no help on the Biffle ?

Does topwater not work in some ponds?
Have you tried various topwater lures other than hardbaits? Sometimes I have better luck with a fluke or a paddletail softbait like a toad. Just a thought, also have you tried various sizes? Sometimes a smaller bait on top can be key.
