Map help plz
Here’s the Lake Master map of the same area @MN Fisher posted I think. This is a screenshot from the iPad app. The colors are customizable and are using my settings. It is not a high definition LakeMaster map. The lines and text are blurry because I had to reduce the size of the image to post it here.

Suggested Gasoline To Use?
I would not exceed the recommended octane. You might want to check this website to see if there is ethanol free 87 octane in your area. https://www.pure-gas.org

Browsing for tackle online is kind of a pain
I assume you’ve looked at the free version of ChatGPT. It’s been a while since I’ve used it so I don’t know what features they have added to it. I use the paid version and it has custom GPTs that are training for specialized task. There are several that offer fishing advice. I’ve played with some of them and I’m not impressed. If you build a GPT you provide additional information that it uses.

what is this wire bundle?
I'll take a wild guess. Looks like there is a control board upgrade available that includes several wires. Maybe it was installed on this motor and the wire in question was left after the upgrade. If the trolling motor doesn't work after you install it then you probably need to find out what to connect the wire to. Good luck. https://northlandmarine.com/products/24-36-volt-control-board-2884052

Browsing for tackle online is kind of a pain
The idea sound like something from 2022. You need to think AI. A chatbot where you can discuss what you're looking for. Upload a picture of a lure and it will tell you what lure it is. Things like that. Like a person in a real tackle store but knows everything. ChatGPT is maybe 70% there but needs much detailed fishing info.

what is this wire bundle?
So neither end of the wire is attached to anything or has any type of plug attached?

Falcon Rods
They were very well known in the past. It was my brand of choice until they stopped making their rods in the US. I haven't bought one since. How do they compare to the other brands? I'm not a rod connoisseur like many on this forum. I just want a rod that has the right length, power, and action that I'm looking for. There are so many brands to choose from that I choose to buy American.

Anyone fishing the Bassmaster Guntersville Kayak Championship?
I used to live in north Alabama and fished Guntersville a lot. It's been 25 years since I fished it regularly. If the size limit is 12 in, I would expect it to be pretty easy to catch 5 this time of year. Fishing out of a Kayak on a very big and very busy lake should be interesting. For the most part, places I would fish a tournament in bass boat I would not touch in a Kayak.

Kayak FFS, Bass Fish and Trash Fish
Great writeup. I'm amazed that you caught so many catfish on one trip. I've caught countless catfish while bass fishing over the last 45 years. I can't remember ever catching more than one on a given day.

Pick 3 baits
My take away from this thread is that the list of the most hated baits is pretty much the same as the list of the most loved baits. My guess is it’s probably pretty close to the list of the most popular baits. 🤔

"DC is the best for windy conditions"
I have several Scorpion DC and also several Diawa Silverwolfs and a Zillion with SV brakes. I use the DC reels with heavy lures. It seems like the SV brakes can’t be turned completely off like the DC brakes. I can throw a 3/4 oz Carolina much further and easier with the Scorpions. The SV brakes are the best with low inertia spools so I use them for light lures. You can’t really thumb a low inertia spool so the brakes are a must. I turn the DC brakes off or very low and use my thumb. Both have a valuable place in my boat. They both work well in the wind if you know how to use them.

Garmin or lowrance???
Everyone has an opinion. Here’s mine. Humminbird I’ve been running Solix for 6 years. I have MEGA Live with target lock, 360 and everything is network including the Ultrex TM. I love 360 so Humminbird is the only way to get it. LakeMaster maps are clearly the best for the lakes I fish. Live imaging is inferior to Lowrance and Garmin. My biggest complaint with Humminbird has always been that they will release a product before it’s ready. When I first got the Solix units they were very buggy. They’ve improved a lot with software updates. MEGA Live is another product that was terrible when it was released but they fixed it later. Lowrance I used to be a loyal Lowrance user. That was before marine electronics were as complicated as they are today. I had several Lowrance products over the years and they were always rock solid. Garmin Never owned one. I have seen a few. I’ve never heard any serious complaints from Garmin owners. Garmin is by far the biggest of the three companies so they have that advantage going forward. If I was starting over I would strongly consider Garmin.

Life Jackets
Now that I'm retired I mostly stay off my local lake during the Summer on the weekend. It's not too bad from twilight till about 10:00AM when it's all fishermen. About 10:00AM the pleasure boaters come out and it's gets a little scary. By 2:00PM the pleasure boaters become drunk pleasure boaters and it gets crazy.

Anyone fishing the Bassmaster Guntersville Kayak Championship?
Yes, although I identify more as a random fool on the Internet. I know it's catch, photo release. Is a keeper the lake's size limit or is it different?

Are you allowed to get information from random people on the Internet?

I know nothing about kayak tournaments. Can you launch from any place you want?

Golden blades to match bluegill
If you were swimming and saw a spinnerbait with a gold blade would you think it’s a bluegill? A bass’ senses are much better tuned to their underwater environment than ours are. When a bass hits a spinnerbait it’s not because it thinks it’s a bluegill. If you’re going to try the “match the hatch” then you need to find something that looks more like a bluegill than a piece of wire with a spinning blade attached to it.

First Throat Hooked Bass - What To Do?
It better to just cut the line than to keep the fish out of the water too long. In this case it’s been ten years since the fish was hooked. 😆

Plum vs. Red Bug Worm Color ?
Without knowing your exact coordinates it's hard to say exactly which of the two colors would be best and of course it varies depending on the time of year, time of day, and the depth you are fishing. But generally speaking Plum would be the preferred color in western Washington. When I say plum I mean specifically 60,90,0,30 using the CMYK Color Model or Pantone 19-3218. But that's just a wild guess on my part.

Where to Fish
I choose using the same criteria that I'll use to pick a horse in the Kentucky Derby tomorrow. Because I like the name. Stillhouse Hollow Reminds me of this song

Baicaster for finesse lures
I’m very pleased with the Diawa Silverwolf PE special.

suggestions please
If he connected Live directly to the Helix then they would be on their own separate network. The Helix would not be able to communicate with the other Helix or the trolling motor. Live would only be visible from the Helix it is connected to.

suggestions please
The MEGA Live transducer should be connected to the Ethernet switch and does not need an adapter.

Light Switch Riddle
I couldn't figure it out so I ask AI and it gave me the answer. Do I dare ask AI if mono or flouro is better?
