There are too many to list. Some remind me of people, some remind me of lakes, some remind me of moments in time, some remind me of specific tournaments. There are some that I look at and think, I remember when I used to love you but that feeling has passed. ?

Well I checked the usual good sources of tournament results on the Internet and I’m not seeing it. I looked at Toledo Bend results from the MLF Toyota Series and Phoenix League tournaments back to 1995. 25lbs would get you 3rd place in two tournaments and would win all of the rest. For multiple day tournaments, averaging 25lbs a day the way Milliken did wins all of them by a large margin. There are plenty of tournament results posted on the Internet. Someone post some links to show me what I’m missing.

Both. At some point in the summer they will move out of the creeks. They probably won’t be in the backs of the creeks in mid June.

Pine Island is big and it can take a while to find them but it can be epic when you do. Personally I would fish docks. If they’ve moved off the docks then go offshore. My PB came off a dock near Waterfront in June. I caught my PB off one corner of the dock and then caught a new PB 5 minutes later off the other corner of the same dock.

I prefer the Waterfront grocery area in June. ? If you like the bank fish docks. If you like offshore fish Pine Island.

I’ve called Minn Kota one time and was happy with the help they provided. It’s prime fishing season right now so I’m sure everyone is very busy.

It’s my understanding that Paddlefish are filter feeders. How do you catch a filter feeder? Do they make zooplankton lures? ?

I have two rods with C-rigs on them in my boat right now. It’s a very versatile technique.

Wheeler has proven that he’s versatile. He wins using FFS and also goes up north and wins using a Flogger. Is Milliken that versatile? Maybe so but he hasn’t proven it yet. He seems very smart and logical so I think he will only get better if he’s not there already. Time will tell.

Making YouTube videos might make you famous but it doesn't make you a good angler. I've watched his videos a few times and didn't care for them that much but I was impressed with his knowledge, skills, and approach. He reminds me a lot of Wheeler. I'm not surprised that he's doing well and I expect he will continue to succeed in tournament fishing.

Don't you think it's your duty to defend Buck's definition of structure?

Congratulation on a great day. I love fishing the Tennessee river when it's low and clear in late winter or early spring. I'm kind of surprised it's that way now.

Okay I'll go ahead and say it Texas Rig: A way of attaching a soft plastic bait onto a hook such that the hook's point is embedded into the bait making it weedless. "Jimmy likes to fish a 6 inch Texas rigged worm on his Carolina rig." A Texas Rig is the classic way to fish a plastic worm. The worm is rig "weedless" and a sliding bullet weight is used.

I help with food giveaways often at our church. Most of it is food that is about to expire. Many times we have an excessive amount to give away. Recently we gave each person five pounds of bacon, called everyone we could think of to see if they wanted bacon, took home what we wanted ourselves and threw away probably 100 pounds that was leftover. People drive through and we put food in their car. We don’t ask questions and we don’t judge. I’ve put food in some very nice vehicles. You never know what someone’s story is. Maybe they can’t afford food because they’re making payments on a new $100K bass boat and a new truck to pull it. ?

So they don’t want to give up a month’s wages for $50,000. Wow, that means they must be pulling in over $600,000 a year guiding. Who knew ? ?

I agree Milliken is impressive. I just wish he would change his name to something that is more auto correct friendly. I think we’re gonna be taking about him a lot.

I know what it means. The company will be sold (again) or broken up and sold to marketing gurus who will exploit the very valuable brands owned by Pure Fishing. You will soon be able to buy Ugly Stick knives (No wait they’ve already done that) , Trilene fishing scales, Abu Garcia lure wraps. All of these products will be designed and manufactured in China and will be exactly the same as the ones you can buy cheaper on Amazon and eBay. We will buy them anyway because we trust the brand names we’ve known all our lives.

Who’s old enough to remember when no one thought gas would ever be over a dollar a gallon so the gas pumps only went up to 99 cents per gallon. When gas prices shot up in the 70s, they set the pumps to half the price per gallon and you paid twice the total displayed on the pump. You had to do the math in your head or keep a $50 calculator in your car.?

The Ultrex has three transducer options. Universal Sonar 2 - Will work with most fish finders. May require an adapter cable. MEGA Down Imaging - Only Works with Humminbird. MEGA Down Imaging / MEGA Side imaging- Only works with Humminbird. The Ultrex also has two options I-Pilot and I-Pilot Link. I-Pilot Link can be networked with a most Humminbird fish finders which allows you to control the trolling motor from the fish finder to make it do things like follow a contour, go to a way point, etc. You need to find out what model Ultrex you’re getting and decide if you want to take advantage of the features it offers.

It looks normal to me and mostly bottom contour related. In that last image you have clear echoes at 80 feet then nothing. I would assume that’s a ridge on the bottom and side imaging can’t see what’s on the other side or the ridge. On some of the images you can see much more on one side than the other. This is probably because the bottom is sloping away from you on the side with shorter returns. Bottom composition could also play a role as has been mentioned.

I’m not a kayak river guy but if fish are concentrated and I know where they are concentrated, I fish where they are concentrated. ?

I’m 60 and I’ve been fishing my whole life. I remember well the thrill I got as a kid when I learned to catch bluegill on a lure from the bank. I remember the thrill I got when I learned to catch bass while wading creeks as a teenager. I remember the thrill I got when I caught my first bass in my first boat, a used Bass Tracker. What thrilled me then doesn’t thrill as much now. My spending and my expectations for boating and fishing have grown as I my personal wealth has grown. What’s important is I thoroughly enjoying the journey along the way. I currently fish out of a 2018 Ranger RT188 with a 90HP motor. It’s not the nicest boat on the lake but what thrills me now is I’m retired and can enjoy fishing seven days a week. There’s no way I would trade another year of work for $100,000 bass boat. My advice is to learn to enjoy fishing at the level you can afford. The entry level cost to start fishing is less than $100. When you borrow money you are borrowing against your future plus interest and that is never a good choice. When you save you’re investing in your future plus interest and that will lead to prosperity and greater fishing experiences in the long run.
