  1. Man I’m glad you included that detailed map. Without that, it would be a wild guess....
  2. I use the one from this very website. I know it was a good day when I can tell by my entries a couple of pops have been opened and the stream of consciousness is wide open and on plane.. My 7lb bag sounds like Old Man and the Sea...
  3. It was 89 around here today. Jumped on the scale after my workout and went from ‘really fat’ to ‘acceptable fat’. I want none, zero, zip, of what y’all got going up there. The wife put the A/C on 72 and I plugged in the electrical blanket...
  4. Buttered Wonder bread, bobber. I like the ones who don’t watch their weight...
  5. Time is the biggest factor. A lot will get 5 bites quickly and then come back and really dissect. Many pros will like 1 log or 1 rock or limb etc on a spot. They’ll hit it, nothing, leave, come back hours later and hit it once more. Then they repeat this if needed sometimes on multiple spots.
  6. Not sure about the fish but the pic with you holding it looks like a brochure from a gas station. “Visit central Connecticut. Adventure awaits...”
  7. Fishing more Fishing with different people more Not drinking while fishing
  8. Those are gorgeous fish!! Man I love seeing different stuff. Every bass looks the same down here
  9. If it’s NOT blowing I usually come back in. A perfectly slick lake is hard to fish...I ain’t good enough! I need wind!!! Go 49ers!!!
  10. Yeah. Wear them. I know you can swim. But you can’t swim when your unconscious or panicking. Put that d**n thing on. Terrible
  11. So your saying there are fish present but your having a hard time getting them to bite.... Well, sir, that pretty much summarizes fishing completely. Actually 100% of the reason why we fish right there. Welcome to the game
  12. Yeah well, when your around them you can eat a granola bar in one hand. The average angler sees that and says ‘thats nothing special I can do that...’ but doesn’t see the time he put in BEFORE that fish bit.. good vid!
  13. I’ve included a fail safe way to prevent a dead battery; Step 1: Charge it This technique works for me and others I’ve heard.
  14. Need to get one way out there, more line. Need to get one on a specific spot, less.
  15. I’d like to go to the moon. How do I: 1. Tell my boss I need vacation time for the moon 2. Tell the old lady I’m I’ll be at the Wing House for the next 3 weeks 3. Bring beer up there without it exploding 4. Cast light weight baits with lower gravity I like you. Keep posting!
  16. Bub, here’s a news flash. If you don’t know how to make tackle, it’s going to be somewhat difficult trying to sell it. I want to be a brain surgeon but I’m having trouble with: 1. Locating the brain 2. Only tool I own is a hammer 3. What if I lose interest half way thru? Daily dose of reality from a perfect stranger...good luck!
  17. Rapala lipless crankbait, original Shad color. Middle of the summer 9.13
  18. Here’s something to consider. Fishing offshore is great if you have a way to stay close to the fish. Either spot lock, anchor or poles if your shallow enough. Finding fish is awesome. Having the ability to stay near those fish is even better.
  19. What do you think ‘they’ are catching them on?? Wonder bread and a bobber? Boiled peanuts and miller lites? They all catch’em on those five you listed. They just do it a lot more and a lot better than we do currently..
  20. 1. Fish all BFL’s this year (5) 2. Fish the trail I did last year when not fishing BFL and do better 3. Get a new boat and micro poles on my current one 4. Did 131 days fishing last year. Little over 100 in the boat. Get more out of each session. Awesome topic
  21. Most. Impressive. Part. Awesome! Enjoy
  22. I fish alone 90% of the time so I need something so I don’t go into that place in my own head. From Joni Mitchell to Pantera, Travis Scott and Outkast to Fishbone and D’Angelo. If they’re biting I hardly notice
  23. Filet table... You know for the stripers, reds, trout, bluegill, gar..and yeah, sometimes bass
  24. Couple things: Owning boat can’t be a prerequisite. Can’t. Will it help, yeah. I coach high school football. Exactly 1 child on our team of 60 has a vehicle. If our kids don’t have a ride we pick them up. If we can’t, we Uber them, get them a month bus pass for $20, call grandma, auntie, next door neighbor, moms boyfriend, whatever In other words, if he wants to fish, and you want him to fish, he’ll find a way.
