  1. Brother, before I started to ‘really’ fish I had never seen anyone fish WITHOUT alcohol. I actually didn’t think it was possible. After the first tournament I fished my eyes were open jack. I ain’t 40 yet and the pain isn’t as bad as the losing a whole day as far as hangover is concerned. Just can’t roll around all day with the local news on anymore...
  2. Whoa..hopefully y’all fish in the afternoons. That’s a tough one starting at 6:45am. Done it once.. Never. Ever. Never ever again
  3. Below average talent + hard work x knowledge= average results Average talent + hard work x knowledge= above average results Above average talent + hard work x knowledge= excellent results Excellent talent + hard work x knowledge= Extraordinary results Apply that to basically anything in life
  4. What the hell is that? Library? It’s like seeing big foot wrestling Loch Ness with UFO’s broadcasting the fight..
  5. 180? Round down on humans, up on fish.
  6. I’ve actually fished everyday for 3 weeks. Yeah, all 7 of’em. Job shut down. Love the wife but don’t want to commit murder so I fish.
  7. To fish as a co-angler it’s only $100 now for FLW. Most important rule was surviving take off with 150+ boats and someone you met in the parking lot 33 minutes ago.
  8. Sell it all. Buy 11 foot cane poles. Take up all the available lanes at the boat ramp for the 14ft Jon. Take a minimum of 7 pulls to start the motor. Use 5 gallon buckets as live wells. Do Not put water or ice in those live wells. Smoke heaters for the duration of the process. Also, do not, under any circumstance place life vests on the children. Don’t do it.
  9. Graphs are exactly like outboards..always, always get the bigger one..always
  10. Couple things that helped me: -don’t be afraid to fail. I’d go down certain banks I KNEW had no fish but forced me to skip. Blew many up. Cursed often. -better equipment DOES make a difference. When I went from cheap ($30-40 reels) to better ones ($100-$120)there was significant difference. I use to crank the dial up to where the line barley comes off the spool at first -pick bulky things to cast. Swim jig with big trailer maybe the best -finally, honestly just do it when needed while you fish. Don’t see something that looks good and say “well I would, but I’m not ready yet” Do it. Try it. Fail. Repeat.
  11. Wow! That’s hard to believe actually. Where do you fish Lake Vostok?
  12. Put those 200 smokes as a down payment on a Phoenix. Attach it to a vehicle. Awkwardly back it down the ramp. Go fast. Your a bass fisherman now.
  13. The best days have been on the fewest baits and combinations. That being said, only twice I have been out there and said “d**n I wish I had brought this...” Most football games are won up front. Most bass are caught with pretty much the same stuff. It’s how well you do what you do.
  14. Negative. Casting in front, side, back yard is perfectly acceptable. If I saw my neighbor doing this, I would immediately bring beer over and we would make poor decisions until dawn.
  15. Thanks!? We ain’t related. Send money to my Paypal.. Kiddin’. That’s awesome. Like Tom said fish alone a lot and those demons start talkin’ to you. Don’t listen to them... Keep at it!
  16. Something tells me CoorslightVirus is on the horizon for me...
  17. Carolina rig...I throw it as often as the Bucs have a winning season. So not often.
  18. 99% of the lakes here are private. There are numerous retention ponds. PM me if interested. See if I can steer you to some fish.
  19. “Water has a funny way of bringing you back to reality...all I could think of was ‘edge! Edge! Get me to the edge!” -Richard Pryor I say get those floaty things for your arms and learn how to cast/maneuver/grab a cold one with those on.
  20. Moving baits get mono Semi heavy stuff gets FC Heavy stuff gets 65 Braid No leader. No secret knots. Pair of pliers, jug of water and I’m good
  21. Most of my friends think fishing is 4 dozen shrimp, 4 dozen tall boys and sunscreen...sometimes it is, most times I’m like Jimi Hendrix, solo. As far as the wife, long as I take care of home, it’s all good. Longer you’ve been with each other you understand it’s healthy to have a ‘thing’
  22. Terrible..just terrible. Praying this goes the right way.
  23. Gambler EZ Vibes has been getting a workout lately. They skip awesome to. She let a 6+ jump off today...we’re not speaking
  24. ^that If you fish a lot, there always in, out, back in, in between. It just makes it easier to grab the entire stack at once. *Here’s a tip* if your a co angler and your boater drives at Mach 4, remove them before you take off or physics will remove them for you.
