  1. A few new toys. Reel to come soon. Boy I love buying stuff.
  2. If you do go for it, reel in the line with the same hand you do now. I feel it will be more natural. I’m a lefty who always held the rod with my left hand. I didn’t know people even held the rod in their off hand until I started reading here. IMO it’s more natural and they have the reels for it now, for the people just starting out.
  3. This last season was my first time with a bc. I don’t know if it’s necessary others can tell you the pros better then I can. I’m glad I did it though it feels more efficient in certain things and it’s deffinitly more comfortable for me then a spinning set up. If you go a couple times a week it’s a real short learning curve. The way you hold it definitely feels more powerful with allot more leverage. Grab yourself some decent quality gear and go for it, I don’t think you’ll regret it. If you don’t like it you can sell it and get another spinning set up.
  4. Can anyone suggest a rod about 4’6” for the purpose above. I’ve been looking found a couple possibilities at Walmart and bps but nothing really jumps out at me. I’ve been thinking about the Ike dude youth combo but it’s 5’6” and the real is a little sloppy. Found a couple ugly sticks that would be good but no trigger for the spin cast. Anyone use the zebco 33 micro. Any help would be appreciated, he’s small with small hands so it’s a tough spot between the little character combos and something bigger/better.
  5. Just got my first rod in from them today. Great job on the packaging and extra tip protection. This was my first time dealing with them and it was a pleasure.
  6. I have two of the bps carblite 2.0’s. I really like them when there on sale it’s a great rod for the money.
  7. You guys sure do have some sexy stuff lol
  8. That sure is pretty.
  9. I live in mass. I’m sure they work here,I fish from shore and never seem to get a bite on them.
  10. Yeah, I’m sad about it to. I did have a bird almost grab it once though lol.
  11. Hollow body frog never a single bite.
  12. ^^^ @carolina rig. That was the first pic I saw, I’m f’n speechless about the rest. That must have been some project you were planning for.
  13. Wow, no reason to start of slow jump right in brother. I like your style.
  14. For some real fun, pay the $20 and grab yourself a popmax in gg bass. You can walk it,pop it,or just twitch it in slow. You won’t regret it, I looked at it in the store 3 times before I bought it. My only regret was not buying it the first time. Perch and secret gill also work well here, there are many colors to chose from. A whopper plopper 110 in blue gill is also a great choice and allot of fun. It’s not a bite that happens all the time but there’s not a more exciting way to fish imo. One good morning or evening topwater bite and you’ll be day dreaming about it the rest of the season. Good luck whatever you choose.
  15. I have the K and love it. That said, a guy let me try his dc at the lake one day for a bit and I was sold. That’s gonna be my next reel for the cranking stick I just ordered.
  16. Yup, called them today. They were not getting anymore so I went with the fury 705 cb. Read all good things about this also, I’m just as excited to get this.
  17. I picked up a 110 in bluegill mid season last year to try. Took it out of the package and crushed them all after noon on it that first day. Worked so well I got to more colors. Only one fish for the both of those for the rest of the season. Don’t care for the 90 much it’s harder to start up further out. As for the 110 in blue gill it catches fish but never again like that first day. I’ve only got to use the 75 a few times before the season ended but it caught a few. So in my expirience they catch fish, but I can’t say there better or worse then anything else. But they sure are fun to fish.
  18. Congrats that would make my day.
  19. Great day, those are some huge pickerel. I don’t think we get them that big here. Allot of people don’t like catching them, I don’t mind they put up a fight.
  20. Great post, that’s all good info. I have the k and that’s all helpful info for me thinking about trying new brands.
  21. Not a pro but couldn’t you use a dock demon or something of that effect. With a better appropriate spinning reel.
  22. i just read about the new line for 2019 on a tackle website.
  23. I’m not to tech savy, but I can’t find anything that says there discontinued or there is a new line with quick searches. They are still on other sites for full price or close to. I looked on the Megabass site and didn’t see anything about the Levante.
  24. Well, I guess if that happens it happens. I have a second choice ready
  25. Idk, I seen it on the 25 days and ordered it. I didn’t notice it said out of stock. Got the email saying as soon as more of them come in it will be sent out. Beats me. I didn’t find much negative about them when I was looking into it before I ordered.
