Flukes are allot of fun to fish weightless if you can, cast and twitch back. They are great here around June it’s all you need.

Anyone use them. I was thinking about it as a possibility for my next setup. The 7’ medium glass. Any input would be great.

I try to use any hardworking small family business that I can, even though it cost a few more dollars.

I’ve only been fishing seriously for this one summer so I can’t even imagine having a ton of unopened hard baits. At the same time in one summer I’ve filled 8 3600’s 2 smaller ones a small picture album for spinnerbaits and about 20 bags of plastics that are not in 3600’s so I can see how it happens.

The easiest way for the op. with the bottom number being a whole ounce is to cut the bottom number in half. Half of 5 is 2.5 so 2/5 is just under a half ounce and 3/5 is just over a half ounce. If your trying to stay roughly within your rods guidelines. Not exact math but close enough.

There is still two left around here. One the older gentleman is not that friendly and closes in August for the season. The other I just found the other day for shiners about 25 mins away. Unfortunately with everyone searching the web for the cheapest price shipped to their door mop and pop stores are fast becoming a thing of the past. It’s a shame about all stores not just tackle shops hardware stores as well. You know the place that actually had the hard to find item you really needed.

Pickerel lol, on the new stuff I grabbed today. Caught fish on 4 out of the six I picked up. The pop max is the clear winner with the ghost gill slightly beating out the gg bass today. The Berkley stuff seams like it’s gonna be a win they looked good in the water and I caught fish on a few of them. I was only out for a hour and a half so they only got a short turn each. When I got to the pond the pickerel were going crazy they looked like a bunch of sticks coming straight up out of the water lol. Seen a few bass but they didn’t bite or the picks beat them to it idk. Here’s a pic so I can show off some new stuff again. I guess I don’t know how to count. Good thing I only went there for two things. Again Against my better judgment.

I don’t have any and I am definitely a rookie. I like throwing cranks I guess that’s next on the list to check out.

It was raining today, so against my better judgment I took a ride to bass pro to replace just a couple things I Lost. Ended grabbing a few of the newer Berkley stuff to try out at their price why not, we’ll see if they produce. Don’t tell you know who lol.

This was a good read, I thought you guys could walk out to a puddle on the street and catch bass lol.

I feel the same way about maybe never using a good rod before. I feel they are very sensitive,but nothing else to compare it to so not 100% sure. I didn’t know they had all them different actions I didn’t see them good to know this winter/spring when I’m looking to add a cranking setup. Thanks, glad to you shared your experience with them. I honestly don’t remember there being a moderate action when I got mine in the beginning of August. I might just get another combo with the currado in the m/m and I’d be pretty happy I think. I feel that it’s a great quality set up for the money.

Just curious about everyone’s opinion on them. I have 2 and I really like them. They were my first better quality rods so I really have no experience with anything else to compare. They were a huge upgrade to the types of rods I used before, I never hear anyone mention them was wondering if there was a reason. They are a $120 rod. I’m not sure if that’s upper mid level or lower upper level lol? Do you guys think they are good quality for that price, I feel they were worth it but again not much else to go by. I find them very sensitive and strong and I’m not to easy on anything I own. Long story short, I have them and like them. Curious of others experiences. I bought the medium heavy fast as a combo with the currado k for $269. That really made the rod $90.

I feel silly asking this, is it gonna be a real show.

At the few places I fish at, it seems the smaller the body of water the better that color works. One pond I was fishing at night I caught one and it was almost to shore and it just stopped coming in I thought it was stuck and then allot of loud violent splashing about five feet from shore. Then i seen a big wake go the other way and I reeled the fish in. The fish I reeled in was just shy of 3 pounds.

yup, not all of them were great but all my good ones were I. There.

Ha, I’ve put coffees on my tailgate many times to load the truck only to stop and grab the empty cup when I see it in my rear view rolling across the street lol.

Now I want a wp 90 and a yak. That video sure looked fun.

Yeah, I’m not gonna worry or drive myself crazy over it any more. I lost them they weren’t stolen. I just hope who ever finds them uses them or gives them to someone who does. I can picture some guy selling them out of the trunk of his car for $20, no lol.

We’ll I had a $10 off coupon for dicks. I was able to grab a couple spinnerbaits in the right colors for right now along with a couple sk 1.5’s and a spool jr all for $20. It’s my Megabass stuff and wp’s that I’m sad about I think it was 6 of them all together that was lost. Everything else is cheap by comparison, it was just a bunch of it.

I would have no problem handing someone a $20 if they came up to me and gave me back my box. They can buy there own six pack or whatever they like.

No I was at the pond in the parking lot. I was at another pond next town over when I realized it I scoured the road inbetween. Was hoping someone that worked the building would see it and save it for me since they see me hear all the time. That could still happen on of these days, fingers crossed. On a good note the $1 hunch came in and caught me a fish tonight.
