Mine is Dobyns FR703SF with Sharky lll 1000 with High Viz braid and FC leader. Use a variety of heads mainly with TS Nedz.

I am using a KK Zephyr.

Try a smaller split ring, I been using a #3 and found that some have a different thickness, the bulk imported ones seem to be thicker.

Since I bank fish only, should work well for me since the ponds and lake are heavy with grass.

I am using 2 #3 Split rings. I also found that some of the imported split rings are actually thicker. The Eagle Claw # 3 are alot smaller in thickness then the ones I bought on Aliexpress.

I have some Dobyns Fury rods , but mostly KK, all my reels are KK. I have never had any problems with any my of the rods and reels. I try to keep everything budget friendly.

Chatterbaits and frogs I use straight braid, Everything else braid with FC leader or just straight FC.

I have ordered numerous times particularly from 2 vendors without an issue. You just have to be patient with shipping. I have always used my CC without any issue maybe I am just lucky. Some vendor take a lot longer to ship.

Don't give up, I was ready to then a miracle :) I caught a bass after weeks of trying, then some perch. So the slump has been broken.

It would depend on the technique I am using. I am the in between guy.

One soft plastic may work for some while it may not work for others. Basically is what the fish are looking for. My go to plastic this year is the lugworm or ocho. Rigged tail weighted. Last year it was the NED.
