Never gave it much thought on spinning reels. All my spinning reels are either 6.2:1 or 5.2:1. IPT is different on my different sizes of reels, a 1000 will be different then a 3000.

Also Hyperseal boxes by Kastking have the rust inhibitor. If you don't want to buy new boxes use silica gel packs or the plastic round things that absorb moisture.(mine come in my bottles of vitamins). Amazon sells the silica gel packets.

Reel X Grease and Oil is my go to. Also Cals drag washer grease.

Well Snow is tapering off, wind is dying down. Got the bulk of the snow plowed, just need to do some cleanup and clean the cars. Waiting for the plow to bury me in. More snow on the way for Wed. I can't wait. Everyone stay safe

Just wanting to say everyone stay safe if you will be affected by this pending blizzard. My town is expected to get 18-24" inches with gusting winds 30-40mph or higher. Funny thing yesterday was close to 50 degrees.

I have had that happen once or twice. It has to do with the knot you are using. If not lubricated or tied properly , also with micro guides the knot is too big, guides could have a flaw in them weaking the line.
