  1. Usually 2-3 rods for 3 different baits.
  2. I wish there were more CO in NJ, people will take a fish the size of a guppy and most don't even have a license. In this day and age I don't like to confront any one about a license, since you could possibly lose your life over it. I am 70 and in NJ you are exempt from the trout stamp and license, you just need proof of age.
  3. I was given this link awhile ago. Don't know if it will be of help https://www.pattayafishing.net/fishing-reel-line-capacity-estimator/
  4. The Yum dingers seem to hold up better then the GYS. Just my opinion.
  5. This what I use Cuda 3" Titanium Bonded Braid & Mono Scissor.
  6. I just used one thin coat the wiped the brush dry and went over everything again.
  7. Just one thin coat does it.
  8. Went out today adjusted spool tension based on lure I was using, then set brakes at about 50% percent plus or minus. Casted had a small backlash adjusted the brakes until there was virtually none. Still using thumb, I don't think that will ever change. The more confidence I get the less braking I will need. LOL Thanks everyone for the help.
  9. I have a Dobyns FR 705CB very nice rod for the price point. I mated it with KK Assassin and 12# Copolymer line.
  10. When adjusting a bait caster do you set spool tension first then brakes or vice versa? I read doing it both ways, just looking for the correct way.
  11. I also like to use the spin shot hooks, maybe more expensive, but easier to use for me.
  12. Maybe $59.95 I would rather support the bait monkey
  13. I have a Dobyns FR733C mated with a KastKing Assassin. Rod was on sale $109.00 and Reel was under 50 bucks. Just because it is a 50 dollar reel don't sell it short. Also KK makes reels that much more expensive.
  14. Been raining here on and off for a whole week, now the humidity is here.
  15. Plus right now 15% off coupon on the rods, not the combos
  16. They seem legit, I never heard of them before
  17. Good to hear that bass fishing is helping you.
  18. I agree with @greentrout I purchased one of their Perigee II Ultralights, Not a bad rod for the price point.
  19. I use magic eraser, didn't have to scrub too hard, then a very light coat of U40 Cork Sealer. I didn't feel any difference in the grip.
  20. I use Deep Woods with 40% Deet, I also carry this in my work truck just in case I have to check some utility poles in tall grass and weeds.
  21. I am using my FR703SF for T Rigs and Drop Shot and my FR733C for an all purpose rod, I also have the FR705CB and FR735C for froggin. So far so good
  22. Yesterday the doc found three pre cancerous spots on my head, reminded me again to wear a hat and use sun screen. I should listen to her since I am outside with my job.
  23. Yes it did Thank you
