  4. I purchased 2 KK Sharky lll not a bad reel for the price. I personally like them and are perfect for the fishing I do. Others may say if it isn't a name brand then you are buying junk. "it is not whats best , but whats best for you"

  6. Unless you find a good used combo or a super sale. I don't think you will find a decent setup for under a 100. I am budget minded and my rod was 99.99 and reel was 60+. These were found on ebay and online vendors at Christmas. TW and some others should be having a Memorial Day Sale. My setup is a Dobyns Fury 705CB and Diawa Fuego

  15. All my Dobyns rods have cork including my ultra lights. I clean my cork grips once a year with a magic eraser let dry the add a thin coat of cork sealer. Here are a couple of pros opinions : David Fritts Cork "The cork also helps the rod float if it falls into the water" Kevin Van Dam Foam "Cork is good, but it gets slippery when wet" Russ Lane Winn"I also don’t have to squeeze the rod as hard to have a firm grip,”
  16. Not if you live in Hawaii All kidding aside, I got alot of good info from the videos, articles etc. I love to see how the bait monkey is spending our hard earned cash.
  17. Check out the Dobyn's Fury and Sierra Series.
  18. I started using KK copolymer line. Price is reasonable(off Ebay then Amazaon) and seems to work good.
  19. I buy what I can afford, The fish don't know if it is a $500 set up or $5 set you got at a yard sale, as long as it works for you.
  20. Look at www.gruvfishing.com, the boxes are pretty expensive, but look like good quality.
