  1. What would be the better reel the President 25 or 30 for?
  2. Thanks to everyone for the feedback
  3. I am looking for a reel(100 bucks or less) to mate up with a Dobyns 7 Fury 702SF.
  4. Another suggestion is to call the folks at Dobyns. They will give you some real good advice on rod selection. Then you can shop around for the best deal that suits your needs.
  5. Also check your local tackle shops and Walmart. The link was for the supplier of the Cuda
  6. I bought Cuda 3" mono and braid scissors https://www.cudabrand.com/products/scissors-shears/cuda-3-titanium-bonded-micro-scissors.html
  7. Watched the video and just ordered the trout pack. It is worth a shot. Where I fish everyone uses powerbait, corn and spinners. maybe presenting something different will interest the trout.:)
  8. I never saw or heard of them before.
  9. I went with Dobyns, Due to my budget I went with the Fury series. A lot of folks go with the Sierra or Champion series. Check out the website
  10. Just ordered 2 to give them a try.
  11. I removed my post, didn't make any sense.
  12. What are some good all around inline spinners for stocked trout?
  13. Mono or Hybrid, 10-12# Test
  14. I would like to replace the Sienna 2500 with Diawa Revros. Rod that it will be mated to is a Dobyns Fury 703SF. Don't know what model or gear ratio to buy.
  15. Mustang survival makes some pretty nice PFD's. Check out their website mustangsurvival.com
  16. Boy I am glad to hear that. I wanted a decent rod but had to be within in my budget, The Fury seemed to fit the bill since I also had to buy reels went with the Fuego for the casting rods and a Sienna for the spinning rod.
  17. Since my budget was limited I purchased: Fury 730 SF Fury 705 CB Fury 735 C May need to get a Fury 734C
  18. Before you know you will be on the lakes fishing for the big ones. Have a speedy recovery.
  19. I also bought a FR705CB for crankbaits. 99.9 % of my fishing is in shallow waters.
  20. I just purchased 3 Dobyns Fury rods. Haven't fished them yet but mounted my reel and the rods seemed very well balanced. I went with the Fury's due to some budget restrictions and got a great deal on them.
  21. I know this thread is about 2 years old , Just getting back into fishing bought a bunch of new gear. Wanting to fish other places other then the Manasquan Reservoir. I don't have a boat so it will be from the docks and banks. Looking for some good spots in Monmouth and northern Ocean Counties to fish.
  22. I was in the same boat as you: Here is what I bought: Chatterbaits Frogs and Froggin Rod and Reel Crankbaits and Crank Bait Rod and Reel Neko Rigs Drop Shot Rigs Wacky Rigs Ned Rigs I didn't go crazy just took the recommendations from the members on this site. Now I have a nice starter collection and will find out what works for me.
  23. Yes I ordered an Okuma Ultralight Trout rod. Was free shipping and a decent price. Arrived without any issues. Just remember FedX, UPS, and USPS all have box crushers. I ordered a rod from TW and the tube it was packed in was similar to the tubes found in the rolls of carpet, I don't think the big three shippers could damage it.
  24. I have a mixture of both, My new setups are under 200 bucks since I was able to get on sale. But I buy what I can afford. I would love a 200 buck reel but my 60 buck reel will do just a well. Being cheap(less expensive) is not always bad ,may not last as long.
