  1. Put mine in with hand printed labels. Checking out the Brother option though, especially for tackle boxes. Which model do you use?
  2. A computer file as stated above. I also put a small label with brand, test, and date spooled on the reel in an out of the way place.
  3. My apologies, posted this in the wrong thread!
  4. I don’t fish hard baits like crank or rip baits often. I tend to open immediately and toss the package. Then over time forget what brand or color scheme of the baits I own.
  5. What makes it different from the grid iron Arky, besides the hook? Does the head size go through wood better?
  6. Hoping someone can help me out with these two styles. The Dock Rocker has a flatter profile and is narrower than the Arky. Both are described as an all around jig head. So what conditions would make one a better choice over the other? Thanks….Joe
  7. What I’m doing now is filling up the spool with cheap mono of a known diameter. Then use Patty’s line calculator to figure out how much I’d need to strip off to replace with main line of choice that has a different diameter. When I need to replace main line I just strip to the connection knot and respool. This works as long as you’re close with main line diameters.
  8. Tom, Can’t really add to what’s already been said except just keep doing what you’ve been doing! Oh, there is one thing….THANKS!
  9. Thanks MN Fisher that will help maximize the space in my tackle bag!
  10. I’m looking into these thinner boxes as an alternative to the 3700s I currently own. Are they tall enough to hold larger jig heads such as 3/4 oz footballs and do they come with enough dividers to get the full 34 storage slots advertised? There’s not a store that carries these near me to check them out, so I’d need to get them online. Do any of you out there use these for larger terminal tackle? Thanks….Joe
  11. Another one that sadly is no longer around. Walton’s Pond in San Leandro, CA. They had pretty much everything; and if there was something they didn’t have, they’d get it.
  12. I understand exactly what you’re saying. My leaders run 15-20 feet. I fish from the back in club tourneys. With little to no wind there is no problem. It’s days with a stead breeze that are problematic. Especially when the boats position does not allow me to cast far enough ahead without crossing the boater’s line. With the shortened casting distance my bait is behind the boat before it hits bottom in deeper water or when dragging it from shallow to deep. This is what prompted my question of additional weight to keep better contact with the bait.
  13. I use, and for the most part like, braid to flouro leader on my spinning gear. The drawback is the bow in the braid, both above and below the surface. Would a slight increase in the weight of sinker/jig head help with reducing this bowing? For instance, moving up in weight from 3/16 to a 1/4 or 5/16? Joe
  14. That ramp is an absolute beast to hoof it up to the parking lot! The supposed shortcut trail up the hill to the left is worse! Hitching a ride up on a trailer is a must.

What’s the bobber stop for, knot protection?

Would pausing on a wake bait trigger the same reaction as that on the pauses between pops on a popper? I take it that a wake bait targets more aggressive fish. Impressive smallie in the vid! My biggest ever was less than half that size, anything bigger and I’d have to change out my underpants ?!
  17. I have not fished a wake bait, but would like to give them a shot. So what determines when you guys choose one or the other? Is it as simple as calm smooth conditions for the popper and a chop on the water for the wake bait? Or is it that the popper imitates struggling prey making for an easy meal, while the wake bait looks like fleeing prey and targets more aggressive fish? Joe
  18. This is something I hadn’t thought of, I would think they’d work on a chatterbait as well.
  19. Between the Adrenaline and Muscle Back craws which makes the better jig trailer in your opinion. What conditions would dictate using one or the other? Their size appear to be similar to me. Thanks Joe
  20. How many dividers and number of compartments?
  21. I have some of these heads also. Found that the hook is a little long for GYCB hulas. Noticed that you’ve put a small kink in the grub to get it to fit. Does this affect the action of the lure?
  22. Curado 200Bs. The green ones.
  23. So very sad that this has to happen to someone so young! Thoughts and prayers for the Martens family!

They are P-Line Lazer Minnows or Kastmaster, both 3/4 oz and I will be snapping them off the bottom. The Spro Power swivels I have are smaller, but still have a good pound test rating. I hope this is clearer.
