Do You Keep a Fishing Log?
So going by go pro settings (pretty much the norm) whatever you buy, a 32gb card gives you 4 hours 22 mins at1080p 60fps. Some cams hold up to 256 gb card so it will record up to 35 hours on a single card

Do You Keep a Fishing Log?
Keep in mind battery changes and sdcard changes are only if you a using the normal battery in these cameras. If you mount a cam on your boat facing you Like this video of a boat run from A-Jay you can get a $20 cell phone battery bank that can run a camera like that 2 days straight less if you buy a big enough SDCard your camera supports.

Do You Keep a Fishing Log?
I never really thought of this way, but I do keep a log-I record all my fishing with a camera on my hat (not a gopro type camera, they look stupid mounted on your forehead or hat). I know exactly what I caught, when, where, etc. If you are not a hat guy, wear a chest mounted camera (go pro type cameras great for this) or just mount a camera facing you to catch all the action. You can even edit them if you want to get fancy. As for other details, just say it into the camera. For storage you can edit out the parts where you didn't catch anything and upload them to youtube as unlisted for your personal enjoyment. P.S. you don't have to spend $300 on a gopro, the YI and a SJCAMs are just fine for that.

New vs Older Outboard Motors
Going with the stupid question first: "are you mechanical?" Can you take apart a carb, or know how to repair a 2 stroke? Leak down test? Impeller change? As mentioned above, my 2 stroke stays home for repairs, my 4 stroke goes to the shop but I do not miss the smell of a 2 stroke, the noise or my favorite thing - fouled plugs.

Aluminum Angle Issues
So when I connected pieces of the 1/8" aluminum angle (one piece on top of another or vice versa) keep in mind I put flat bar on top of the lower aluminum angle to keep it flat and flush. You can see it in the deck extension in the middle. I do not know if you are going to care if everything is flush (it certainly does not need to be with wood flexing on it). I am worried about the fact your 90" span (45" + 45") has no vertical support. Have you seen this guy's videos? (he shows what you are trying to do in a ton of videos) and why he did it. He has a framing video on what you should use and the pitfalls like im talking about above.

Trailer Repair
Do not use pressure treated wood for the bunks - the copper in them will eat away any metal touching them that is not hot dipped galvanized or stainless steel (think of the brackets holding them) Pressure treated wood and aluminum is a big no no.

Aluminum Angle Issues
That can't be right, How is 1/16" 1.5 x 1.5 any more expensive that the same at 1/8" ? Even going by Home Depot prices (which for 96" of 1.5 x 1.5 x .0625 x 19 pieces it is only $385. And those prices are pretty horrible vs. going to a local metal supply store (or online for that matter). I built my boat with 1/8" thick stuff which was way overboard for the boat but I made sure you could step anywhere and it wouldn't flex at all. So I think you would be correct that 1/16" is more than enough. Also, invest in a hydralic pop rivet gun or the cordless drill adapter as your hands will love you unless you got the bucks for a cordless one. Aluminum boat fans
Ok, if it comes down the craziness in this video, my back would give out along with my knees before I even cast a line.

Dark Sleeper
I used the Ali Express ones all last year - they are exactly the same thing. How it swims, casts, skips, durability, etc. I see no reason to buy the *real* ones. I have a lot of pike where I fish, so I lost around 8 of em - I don't like the use a wire leader so I bought the knock offs instead. Very happy I saved a ton of money. They are only $1.50 now - Hengji Dark Sleeper Knockoffs for 1/2 oz

Seafoam Marine Pro

New boat owner , need help !
If you don't want to spend a ton of money on locking latches - try CAM Locks. I remember these being perfect for a boat that had non locking latches and locking latches ran like $30 each. Drill a hole and file the sides flat. Note: no locking cam, latch, or bar will prevent a knowledge thief as all locks are pickable. See the lock picking lawyer on youtube. He is the reason you should never buy a hitch lock as they are all garbage. Example: Master Lock Trailer Coupler

The latest sale thread
This is exactly what I did - except that 2 items have been on delay for 6 months Either these rods are the most in demand rods in the world or Taipan / TW have billing issues between them. There is no way a rod should be backordered for 6 months.

Anyone subscribe to MOTV?
I have it - if you want MLF - they have it all. During MLF tourneys, they do a live cast also. I never though watching a pro fish would be so boring! Imagine watching a guy fish for 6+ hours, cast after cast. But, as for shows, you can't beat MOTV. My cable subscriber wants $10 a month just to get the outdoor channels and with MOTV I can watch it whenever I want including all the previous seasons and shows unavailable on cable TV channels. You can also install on in firesticks and whatnot. Worth it if you watch a lot of fishing shows, much less all the other hunting, cooking etc. shows.

Shurhold Dual Action Polisher
Actually - it wont matter, but the tool covers both. Google any car detailing forum and the tool everyone uses is variable speed Porter Cable 7424XP Dual Action Polisher unless you are absolutely a professional and time is money. The tool is basically the same thing as the above. There are two tools to use when polishing - orbital (spins around) and random orbit. The first being much faster but has the ability to burn your paint/fiberglass as it causes heat, but the random orbit you can press down and speed up as much as you want and be fine (shouldn't be doing that anyhow, don't put down tons of wax and use the correct pad) Have used (and still do) the latter so maybe biased, see no reason the Shurhold should be that much more money. Since you have neither, don't forget the velcro backing pad and the pads themselves. The pad you chose will determine how fast the buffing goes. Tons of auto detailing places sell the porter cable with pads for any use as a package. The wax makes the difference here - heavy oxidation on fiberglass vs paint on metal are two entirely different application uses.

Buying a new bait cast reel- What do you look for?
Micro-click tension knob - I am spoiled after I bought a reel with this. I do not thumb my reels when casting - only to stop the bait.

Hovering in one space question
Use a shallow water anchor - the manual type. Not a full/mini power pole or talon, just a plain ole shallow water anchor like everyone used before they came along. Just google DIY shallow water anchor - they get as expensive as you want to spend. I've seen guys use a $10 pvc pipe and put it through the handles on the back of a jon boat.

Vacuum for boat?
This is will be a major decision for me when I buy a new boat in 2021 - my current build has vinyl and I love I have never to clean it out.
