  1. Tons of bass clubs in Ohio. Too many honestly. Knox marine holds and awesome circuit. Not sure if they pair non boaters and boaters or if it's a team trail. Worth a call.
  2. DO NOT wire your graph into the same power source as your trolling motor. Shouldn't even hook it to the same battery really. You will experience unreal amounts of interference. Run an independent set of wires or run a set of wires off your fuse block. Anything bigger than a 7 inch graph I would recommend 10 gauge wire. I had to upgrade my wire to 10 gauge with running two 7 inch graphs to fix a voltage drop issue I was having
  3. Hard to beat a bandit 100
  4. I don't fish big swimbaits like that here in Ohio . Around 8 inches is biggest swimbait I fish. But I could deffinately see bass attacking that thing. Now dropping a grand on one lure??? Even I think that is crazy talk
  5. I believe doyo makes the JM reels. Same company that makes the cheaper Lew's and abu's and probably a bunch of other reels. My Lew's and the one Revo I own both have interchangeable parts. If you can pick up one of the JM reels on sale it should serve you well
  6. Anyone fished a tube on a swing head? Thinking about trying it on some gravel points now that the big girls have started feeding again after the spawn
  7. I went waist deep in a half frozen lake for a vision 110.
  8. Broke my line on a hookset. About 20 minutes later I get hung up, realized I'm on someone's fishing line so naturally I start complaining about it. Get it reeled up and go well hell that looks like my line. As I started pulling it in I realized the fish was still on that I broke off on. About a 2# largie that choked a tube. My line broke between me and the fish
  9. I've had no issues with the two ark rods I bought are very light and sensitive
  10. My dad smashed me between the shoulder blades with a 10 XD. We had a few unpleasant words after that haha
  11. Just one of them things that happens. And after catching some other big fish the hook may have been getting dull. I had that same year last year with buzzbaits. One of my typical go to baits and all I did was loose pig after pig last year on one. Literally could not boat a big bite on a buzz. Just one of them things
  12. I will typically fish the mag fluke on a MH jig rod. You need a rod with some tip. Typically use a 5/0 EWG. I will work it similar to a super fluke. Fish it over mats and let it sink slowly into pockets and cross their eyes when they bite. If it's super thick I will use 50 pound braid if it's more open /clear water I will typically use a 20lb flouro or co polymer leader of even sometimes just fish it on straight 20 pound flouro if it's in a clean open water environment
  13. Agree with the above. JJ's is very strong. And very effective. We even use it crappie fishing If we are getting hits and not hooking up.
  14. They are most likely sunning themselves. Or potentially even getting on beds. Around here in Ohio they will go through a sunning phase in the spring time during a quick warm up. Not much you can do other than look for more actively feeding fish
  15. I know a thing or two about breaking sticks. I tell all my buddy's that if a rod makes it one full season with me and doesnt get broke it's worth the money
  16. One thing to consider if you go with a lower or crestliner theirs no wood in the boats. Tracker and lund still use wood decks. Now saying that my tracker is an 01 and it's still on the original wood floors. It is a garage kept boat which obviously helps. But don't necessarily let wood keep you from buying
  17. I had one of those boats. If you can comfortably load it on a roof rack without struggling your more man than me. Buy a small harbor freight trailer for a few hundred bucks and be done.
  18. Don't do this. I've had plenty of people want to be "buds" just cause I have a boat. They don't get invited to go on the water
  19. The biggest difference is the super fluke is made to imitate a smaller size bait with some good life in it. The mag fluke is made to imitate a large almost dead shad which equals an easy large meal to fill a fishes belly with ease. A fluke is one bait I have mastered. I fish super flukes and magnums almost equally. Put your time in with them to learn them and you will put more and bigger fish in the boat on a more consistent basis than you have before
  20. I'm a cheap ass I use split shots still
  21. How's the stability on this yak. It has pretty much the exact layout I've been looking for
  22. If it's in good running shape around here in Ohio that boat would bring around 4k . To a family member 3k or under I have a 01 pt165 basically same boat just a touch smaller. I paid 3200 for it 7 years ago
  23. The fender likely has some adjustment up and down could also have a worn out spring. Something is going on for it to have been fine before with that size tire and now not have clearance. Also make sure they put the correct size tire on
  24. Just watch this video. Get a cold beer and a note pad and PAY ATTENTION.
  25. As soon as I seen it was a Todd castledine video I turned it off. Something about that guy I feel like a 2 year old trying to focus watching his video. From reading through the comments I gathered he was complaining about someone watching where and probably what he was catching fish on. Come on who hasn't done that and stuck it in their back pocket for later use? These "pros" need to get off the high horse they rode in on
