  1. Lately it's been my Nanoace Worm & Jig 6'9" Medium Fast. I can feel fish eyeballing my Neds.
  2. Fish it for 3 or 4 months, then send it back and call it a rental. That should cover your time, ink, and gas.
  3. I fish in winds up Small Craft Advisories 24 - 38 mph sustained with higher gust in my 1448 Jon. The particular lake I fish most often is at higher elevation than most of the land surrounding it and water is pumped up to it. The winds are typically 1.5 - 2 times what's forcast. I've been out many times during Gale - Force winds 39 - 57 but that's pretty rough and I have to fish from the center seat to keep the waves from coming over the bow and it's definitely a wet ride. Our lake's wind is why I run an 80lb TM. It's really no big deal unless you use logic or common sense.? I do catch bigger fish on some of the roughest days.
  4. I get my dehydrator out look at it for a bit, put it up, then drive to Publix and get some Ol Trapper Peppered.
  5. I prefer fishing in the wind, even heavy horrendous wind versus no wind. I would possibly look at it differently if I was in a kayak, but that isn't gonna happen.
  6. WRB is also why I tried it and it's good stuff.
  7. Welcome to the forum. Are you only fishing Topwaterman? ? Sorry I had to. As others have said, don't compare your success to others. Just have fun with your boy and the fish will come.
  8. With a 1/4 oz popper it'd be Sunline Shooter Defier Armilo Nylon Line 11 lb.
  9. As a youngman I rode dirt bikes(CRASHED), broke a herd of horses(HIT THE GROUND HARD ALOT), threw 797,104 hay bales, lifted very heavy things and weights that eventually break a body, and worked way too many 15 - 18 hour days on concrete as an A & P Mechanic. At 39 my neurosurgeon walked in the room laughing with my scan in his hand, I ask what's funny and he said I had the back of an 85 year old and needed a fusion. Now I'm 47 with the back of a 93 year old. The pain varies and on good days when I can stand straight up I go fishing.
  10. Few from yesterday. Had to dead stick Ned style baits to get bit.
  11. The KVD conditioner works great to keep pasta from sticking together also.
  12. Yesterday's success was Spotty. Did win $6 with a 3 lb Spot.
  13. BPS Stick - O 5 & 3/8" Black/Blue
  14. Sometimes. I like to spin my knobs while I'm dead sticking baits.
  15. In over 12 years of bowfishing 2 and 3 folks out of my 1448 one to three times a week, nobody ever fell out.
  16. I've been running my Solix 15, 360 Imaging, and navigation lights off a single Duracell Group 31 AGM for years. The Solix and 360 are heavy drinkers and per my Dual Pro charger it's usually around 30% after a normal day of fishing. I'd like to swap my almost 200 lbs of AGM's out with lithium batterys but the lithiums have got to come down or the AGM's will have to go way up before I do.
  17. Very nice. Good looking girls.
  18. Wish I could help. But I always catch them.?
  19. Just go with it. He's looking out for your best interest. At least he's not pushing for a Stella or Exsence.
  20. I'll give a backlash a couple minutes on the water. A couple minutes at home. Then a few seconds with scissors.
  21. Happy Easter!
  22. I sing while I fish so ............
