I was kidding about perfectly matching. Profile definitely matters more, IMHO. I might play with different colors if I'm on some fish.

Color should be matched perfectly, if you want to catch fish. The pics below are from a 6 acre farm pond that was stock with pink gizzard shad and black/red tailed rats.😂 Seriously, I believe profile over color.

Fished this morning from 7 - 12. Water was 51 and pretty stained from rain. Caught a little green one on the full size jig and a "WHITE" one on the spoon. The lake got crowded, forgot it was a holiday.

I've been spraying every reel the night before a trip for years. It makes a surprising difference.

It happens. I just spent 6 hours the other day with a big jig or 8" Hudd in hand, crawling them in 47 degree water. I was fishing for a big girl and she eluded me.

I'll roll & stretch any salted baits, to give them a more matte color and release some of the salt.

Nice. I'm a jon boat collector,apparently. I own a 1230(my first boat), 1236, 1436, 1440, and a 1448. So we're in similar boats, just a different style.

Excellent. I've never been able to flat foot full squat. I can still put my full palms on the floor from standing with straight legs. Pretty sure it's my hips keeping me from being a 100 lb, super fit, long distance running Asian. Well, and the 150lbs.😄

Knot just outside the reel, so length varies a bit depending on rod length. Fresh leader and Alberto knot before every trip.

I'd say it's very unlikely to see BFS casting gear in Pro level tournaments. Those boys are on the job and not looking to play fish. It'd be like framing a house with a tiny hammer.
