I run an 80 lb on front of my 1448. Overkill? Maybe. But it's so much more efficient that I can fish from dawn to dusk in wind that runs most folks off the lake. I'd go with a 55 lb.

Uncontrolled breeding allows overpopulation & starvation. So I do my part. Not mention deer, hogs, & squirrels in the freezer free up MB Vision 110 $'s.

Crazy. I've had several close encounters with owls during my years of predator calling at night. Blowing a rabbit in distress call and the only part of you moving is your fingers around the call to change the tone/pitch can be dangerous.

I'll replace used/lost lures and they'll still get me when I buy line but I'm done buying anything else for a while. Gas & oil prices are crazy.

My favorite is my 9" SS Bull Shad but it's a certain conditions type bait and I fish it like a 5.5 oz spinnerbait. But it has also caught an amazing amount of 1.5 lbers. A spinnerbait(#1) and buzzbait(#2) have produced the bulk of my largest bass. A larger T - rigged worm and jig/trailer should always be included in big fish talk.

I'm sorry. I lost my pond fishing partner Roxy last week also. Same situation her back legs just quit on her.

How is he making car/insurance payments, gas, helping with groceries, and rent in your house? Sounds to me like he's being supported by others. Years ago when I made the move from mechanic to crew chief with 75+ men under my supervision, I learned the hard lesson that folks will get away with what you'll allow. I'd put his rump to work every day he's not working until he figures it out.

I fish old right along side of new gear and there is indeed a vast difference. Even with the newer casting reels I'll mount it on the rod and do what I call dry casting which is similar to dry firing a firearm. For anywhere between 11.26 - 13.78 hours I'll cast to targets with no line on the combo. During this time you always hit your target and never backlash. It's all about muscle memory and confidence. ?

One of the victims truck doors wasn't locked and they still busted his window and climbed in. These aren't door checking criminals they're smashing and grabbing. Most vehicles factory alarm will only go off if the door is opened, so I don't think they even look.

Yeah it's kinda hard to enjoy the trip when you've got the lingering thought of coming back to a damaged truck and spending 1.5 - 2 hours with the deputies.
